- There is information for students on the website for grades K-12. In terms of reading level it is probably most valuable for 2nd grade and up, but the games and pictures can be utilized by all.
- The information is very appropriate for my students.
- The information is comprehensive and meaningful.
- The information is not biased.
- The information does support the curriculum objectives. This website was especially made for NC teachers, parents and students.
- The information is made for the student to learn certain goals appropriate for their particular grade level, it is outcome based.
- The information is very accurate and correct.
- The information may have to be shown to the students at first but once shown it is very easy to get at and well organized in a clear coherent manner.
Authenticity /
- Depending on the topic a relevant source is used, for example the kindergarten activities are from PBS.
- This website is very current. There is an article from January 16, 2006. Updates are constantly being created.
- The intent of the author is to help students, teachers and parents learn about information through the internet.
- The information is objective.
- The facts are verified by other sources because the information is correct and current.
- If you are reading articles the author’s information is very available but games are harder to find the exact author but regardless you can always find a source.
- Within the website everything has sources or authors or publishers. It all can be verified for its authenticity.
Learning Strategies /
- Every level is addressed for K-12.
- The most relevant intelligences expressed in this website are mathematical/logical, visual spatial, Linguistic, musical and kinesthetic. Interpersonal and intrapersonal activities are not as available.
- The students are required to be able to read and deceiver their task and be patient as the go through it all.
- I love this website because of all the active learning activities.
- This site is broken into grade level thus producing activities, games, music, articles, etc. that are appropriately challenging. The will learn information based on what they already know to learn more.
Navigation /
- This page is very well organized. Even one with very little computer experience could figure it out.
- There are no annoying advertisements coming up or on the sides. It is very clear.
- There are no annoying pop up windows either; it is a clear and easy website.
- Depending on what subject you are looking for you can search for a source and they will take you to a website, article, etc. dealing with that particular topic, giving you a link to get there.
- It has a very searchable index.
- Software plug-ins are not necessary within this website because it is all through the internet.
- One can get around in this site quickly and efficiently.
- This site is so fun and interactive I think that could spend hours exploring it.
Graphics /
- I love the graphics on this site and they are very appropriate.
- The graphics are strategically placed so that they are not a distraction if anything they add to the site.
- The graphics do not delay the loading of the site.
Appeal /
- The site is very appealing, it is something that you would like to look at and explore.
- There is more information then there are graphics. It really depends on the grade level, if you are playing a game and what particular activity you are partaking in.
Availability /
- This site is available to all and it is not down. They make their revisions so that one can still search within the site.
- The new address is given if the site changes their URLs.
