Quizzes/Exams

Instructors can now shuffle the order of all questions in quizzes or specific groups of questions (sections) in the Quizzes/Exams tool.

When editing a quiz in the Quizzes/Exams tool, the Properties tab of Quiz Questions section displays the new option “Shuffle order of questions at the quiz toollevel”.

Once the shuffle option is selected, a shuffle icon appears next to each affected question in the quiz.

Grades–Grade exports include all group and section enrollments

Now, when you export grades from the gradebook, under User Detailsyou can select the option to include group and section information for each learner. This allows for more detailed analysis of grade exports outside of D2L.

HTMLEditor

The HTMLEditor tool gets some functionalityimprovements,including:

  • Updated: Paste from Microsoft Word
  • New:Unsaved changes prompt

a.Paste from Microsoft Word

Currently, when you try to copy and paste any Microsoft Word content into the HTML Editor, a pop-up window appears prompting you to either select Remove formatting or Keep formatting of the pasted content. Now, the default value is set to Keep formatting.

When you copy and paste Microsoft Word content, the formatting of the pasted content is retained by default.

b.Unsaved changes prompt

In the HTML Editor, when you make content changes and attempt to navigate away or close the browser or tab without saving the changes, a message prompts you to discard the changes or resume editing. Click “Stay on Page” to resume editing.

Copy Course Components – Copying final grade properties includes calculated and adjusted grades

Now, when you copy final grade items, the copy process includes properties from the calculated and adjusted final grade items.

In the Copy Course Components tool,

  • Copy All Componentsselects and copies all final grade properties in the course.
  • Select Componentscopies individual components and displays Final Calculated Grade and Final Adjusted Grade in the list of components to select.
