The CDC website states that, “Smoking causes stroke and coronary heart disease, which are among the leading causes of death in the United States.”This proves that smoking is dangerous because it causes heart related illnesses. This is a disease that attacks a key organ in your body, which is vital for you to keep living. This illness, directly connected to cigarette smoking, is so dangerous that it is one of the main reasons people die in the United States. In addition, not only does smoking cause heart disease, but it causes other life-threatening diseases as well. The CDC website states that, “Lung diseases caused by smoking include COPD, which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis.”This quote showsthat tobacco has the power to generate disease that affects the lung, which makes it very difficult to live, when your breathing is disturbed. What matters is that people should stop smoking, especially with the knowledge of these surrounding health issues. “8.6 million people live with a serious illness caused by smoking,” as shared on the site . This also means that consumed tobacco has the ability to affect millions of humans. Therefore, these health problems are frightening and scary and preventable by seizing to smoke.
