Does the club operate a ‘trial’ process for team selection/club membership? / Yes / Yes / No
If yes, please describe the trail process for your teams: We are planning to arrange a session for all the new members and pick decent players for the teams ( men and women )
If unsuccessful in team selection, what opportunities are there for individuals to continue within the club? For those who do not get the chance to show off their games and play for the team at the first place, what we do is that every week or two we arrange a session and all the players get to play against each other and then we will who is stepped up, so we select them.
What opportunities are there for non-competing members? If SSP allowed us to use the court in weekends then we just arrange scrimmage for non-competing members.
Please explain what the club does to actively retain its members (playing and non playing) and prevent drop out? The plan is to encourage all the members to get involved in practise sessions and for those who believe that there are not good enough to be in the team they can get themselves involved in other events, such as scrimmage sessions, match events, so they all turn up to support their club
What recreational/social activities (if any) do you intend to do this year to attract students from outside the club? (e.g. fundraising events)
We will have social nights, like going out to a restaurant or get together to watch Guildford Heat playing at SSP. Regarding of fundraising there are few plans to raise money for club, for example affiliate with other clubs or societies, arranging social events, so more people get to know us and at the same time the club gets to earn some money
What activities could the club run in conjunction with Team Surrey to help with recruitment and retention?
