Table: List in Alphabetical Order of Lithified Talus Investigated for the Present Paper

Table List in alphabetical order of lithified talus successions investigated for the present paper. In total, these talus successions cover an age range from at least about 480 ka to Holocene. The ages assigned to talus are either radiometric minimum ages determined by U/Th dating of diagenetic cement and/or less precise age assignments indicated by chronostratigraphic relations to deposits of well-known age, such as basal till of the Last Glacial Maximum. Altitude of lower pinchout of some talus successions is not well-constrained because of dense forestation. U/Th age assignments of diagenetic cements are from Ostermann (2006). LGM = Last Glacial Maximum in the Eastern Alps (21-18 ka, Patzelt 1980).
