Introduction and Job Purpose
This role will play a vital part in achieving the Colleges Mission and Visionas this post will support theExam Teamin the day to day operation of the examinations during busy periods.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the examinations are conducted in accordance with examination board and JCQ regulations and maintaining the security of the questions papers at all times, and to enable students to fully express their knowledge in an exam setting.
Key Accountabilities
  1. Support, at all times, the aims and objectives of Macclesfield College.

  1. To assist in the setting up of exams, ensuring that the appropriate preparations are met by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers in accordance with the strict procedures both paper-based and online.

  1. To assist the candidates prior to the start of the examinations directing and advising as necessary. Checking ID and ensuring it operates in controlled and appropriate manner and within the guidelines set down by JCQ.

  1. To ensure that any candidate with additional support needs as directed by the exams team are in place.

  1. To invigilate during examinations, dealing with all queries that arise during the examination and deal with these in accordance with the strict exam regulations.

  1. To check the attendance of all learners and record details of all late arrivals and early leavers.

  1. To supervise candidates leaving the examinations, ensuring that all candidates do not remove equipment of stationary from the room with authorization.

  1. To collect and collate scripts at the end of the examinations in accordance with procedures.

  1. To assist with the packing of the examination papers, stationery and equipment afterthe examinations has ended and the delivery to and from rooms.

  1. To be aware of health and safety procedures and requirements in the event of an emergency, and ensure that candidates are supervised in accordance with awarding body regulations.

  1. To undertake all aspects of the post in accordance with the College’s Equality and Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies and schemes.

  1. To comply with the College’s Data Protection policy in relation to the collection, use, storage and disposal of personal and /or sensitive information.

  1. To undertake any other duties appropriate to the position as directed by a member of the exams team or senior management.
