Early Learning and Childcare

2015 - 2016

Support and Challenge

The roles of Quality Improvement Officers (QIOs) and Early Years and Childcare Managers are in a period of change but across the team they provide support and challenge to the wide range of early years services:partner provider nurseries, nursery classes, nursery schools and early years centres.

The team of peripatetic teachers, the play development team and the pre-birth to three development officers provide additional support. This support is delivered in a range of ways as highlighted in the diagram.

The council is in a process of change and we have tried to provide support across the proposed new localities. There may be further changes in personnel and / or localities but I hope that you will find this interim information and contact details helpful.
