STRESS Use Case S2 Workflow Group Test

This test case is used for Full Workflow testing with as complete a complement of actors in the STRESS profile as possible. If necessary, use the RIS Mall for ADT, OP and/or OF functionality. Typically, this test may be run toward the end of the Connectathon, after the peer to peer tests have been successfully completed. It is run under the supervision of a Connectathon Monitor who checks the results of the transactions as the test is executed.

NM and Echo modalities registered for the STRESS profile may have already executed a full workflow test as part of their testing in the SWF or ECHO profiles.

Ideally, there would be an ECG modality and either a Stress Echo or NM modality available for this test; however, that may not be the case. If there is no imaging modality is available, execute with only a single ECG system. In the real world, this is analogous to the imaging modality system being non-IHE compliant.

In the test steps, the patient name is chosen by the Connectathon Monitor.

Description

This test verifies the ability of the actors in the STRESS profile in the full scheduled workflow, specifically STRESS Use Case S2 (CARD-TF-1: 8.4.2). This test corresponds with Radiology Scheduled Workflow Simple Case (RAD-TF-2: 4.6.4.1.2.3.1 and Table A.1-1).

Patient is registered, an Order is created and a Procedure is scheduled and performed. Finally, the Patient Name is updated. Modalities and Evidence Creators should send PPS messages to the DSS/OF. There is no PPS Manager in this test.

Workflow test preparation

Connectathon manager / Create groups of systems for the workflow tests. / This is a non-trivial task. Factors to consider include ensuring a mix of vendors is represented in the group, whether systems are actually working well, and potentially whether the systems will be working together in a demonstration. Connectathon monitor / Gather the group; present test details: actor assignments, configuration needs (URLs, assigning authority, patient for test), test steps, start time / Ideally complete a half a day before the start of the workflow tests. This enables systems to test individual interoperability prior to the test and avoid delays during the test.

Evaluation

On the DSS/OF, verify:

There is no entry for the original test patient (it was updated to be with patient Merge^NAME).
Verify that the PPS is associated with the original Requested Procedure from the OP and provided in the MWL:
