  1. Introduction

Here this manual is to explain how to copy existing System Setting on one device to another.

1.1Construction

SystemSettingClone(v1.0.0).exe / WCE 6.0
  1. Install & Execute

1)Copy & paste “SystemSettingClone(v1.0.0).exe” file on root folder of the terminal that you want to copy system setting from.

2)System Setting Clone function

-Default :Export & Import [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT], [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE], [HKEY_USER] Registry.

-User : Export & Import [HKEY_CURRENT_USER] Registry.

-WIFI : Export & Import all pre-connected Wifi list.

-Scanner : Export & Import all scanner configuration.

1)Select what you wish to export, then, click Export.

2)Once Export is done properly, you can seethe message below and will restart the terminal.

3)You can find “BackUp“ folder on the root directoy. Please copy it into SD card or PC.

  1. System Setting Import

1)Copy & Paste both “BackUp“ folder and “Clone Tool“ into the root folder of the terminal that you are going to duplicate previous configuration.

2)Select what you wish to import, then, click Import.

4)Once Import is done properly, you can see the message below and will restart the terminal.

  1. Trouble Shooting

5.1 Import Fail

1)If the file inside Backup folder is not sufficient or proper, Import will fail.

For example,

-Although you export only “default” setting on checked box, but you try to import “scanner” setting or other setting value.

-If scanner type between two terminals are different, “scanner” setting import will fail.

You can find which scanner type installed in your terminal on “DevInfo”.

5.2 BackUp Folder

1)When you import, you select “ALL” settings but you can find only two files on “BackUp” folder.

-It is absolutely normal. “Default” and “User” setting files are hidden.

-If you want to make sure import is done properly, you can uncheck “Do not show hidden files and folders” at folder option.
