11.Rating of shell & tube heat exchangers by HTRI using Dow and TEMA standards.

12.Preparation of Line list, Equipment list and Valve list.

13.Preparation of IPDS, Equipment & Instruments Datasheets.

14.Process Basis of Design and Process Description/ Control narrative.

15.Involved in various design reviews such as (P&ID review, Area Classification review, HAZOP, other safety review) and Coordination with other downstream Engineering disciplines.

16.Pipeline Steady state hydraulic analysis.

17.Actively involved in developing guidelines for Depressurization calculation.

18.Participation in HAZOP, LOPA.

19.Preparation of Techno-Commercial quotations.

As Sr. Process Engineer handling PUSB - Chennai Division Process department with a team of 10 members since July’2014.

  1. “BFD West Asset Gas Optimization & HHP Header”, BRUNEI SHELL - Feb’2016 to Till date

Generation of HYSYS/UNISIM model for gas lift system for properties generation as a input to Gas lift FCV calculations, Datasheet preparation; Collection of process data including PEFS; Gas lift FCV calculation for 44 no of FCV for minimum/normal/maximum cases; Input to C&A discipline for datasheet preparation of FCV, FI, PT; Datasheet preparation for 21 no of Gas lift control valves and 20 no of gas lift FI; Updation of existing PEFS for removal & installation scope and Updation of SOR tables and HAC drawings is considered.

  1. “West Legacy Phase-2”, BRUNEI SHELL - Sep’2014 to Till date

Generation of PFS, PSFS & Updation of PEFS as per RLM. To perform the safety review of offshore platforms and onshore terminals of existing assets of Shell. The scope consists of complete safety study at various locations licensed and operated by Shell Upstream International Europe (UIE). This safety review comprises Scenario Identification, Load Calculations and Sizing of relief valves, Process Safeguarding Memorandum (PSM) and Process Safeguarding Flow Schemes (PSFS) as process activity. The Software used for these activities HYSYS for generating relieving conditions – 1.5 million USD.

Analyzing of P&ID’s to determine worst credible scenario; Sizing of PSV and PVRV using HYSIS 7.3 and spread sheet; Control Valve Sizing using INSTRUCAL software; Performed hydraulic calculationsuch as line sizing and Pump NPSH calculations; Preparation of Instrument Protective Functions (IPF) document using Cause and Effect Matrix.

Preparation of Hazardous Area Classification documents using Shell DEP & IP-15 Standard.

Preparation of SOSOR document Hazardous Area Classification using BSP-12-G-303, REV. 303, IP-15 standards & SHELL FRED analysis software.

  1. Pipeline Project, Ennore to Manali Terminal - June’2015 to Aug’2015

PROPOSAL/Bidding of Pipeline running from Ennore Terminal to Manali Industrial Area (26 km).

Conducted In-house Front End Engineering Design; Preparation of Scope; Design Basis and Specifications; Preparation of Block Diagram, PFD, P&ID’s, Equipment List, Line List, BOQ; provided hydraulic analysis and Line size optimization for Motor Spirit/Gasoline, High Speed Diesel of different pipelines (14, 16 and 18 inch); Preparation of hydraulic gradient chart; Surge Analysis Calculation for 1.0, 2.0, 3.5, 5.0 and 6.5 MMTPA; Communication of various vendor for Budgetary offer; Preparation of complete report (CAPEX, OPEX, Feasibility report, Capital cost, Operating Cost, Marketing Analysis etc.).

Development of PFD’s & PEFS, Line/Equipment Lists, IPDS, Pump Hydraulics, Line hydraulics, Equipment Sizing, Cause & Effect Diagram, Pressure Relief Device, Design Basis Report, Design Criteria, Process Description, Participation in HAZOP; Co-ordination with interdisciplinary leads and work engineers.

Worked with Petrokon Utama Sdn. Bhd. (Brunei) for a period of 1 year under deputation from Petro6 Engineering and Construction Pvt. Ltd. for Brunei Shell Petroleum Projects.

As-built (OFFSHORE FACILITIES) of Oil/Gas Wells, Test/bulk header, Separator facilities, Instrument Gas Scrubber, CI Package, Slug Catcher, MPFM, Liquid KO pot, Jib Crane, Vent & Relief system and IRCD panel. Preparation of Safeguarding Memorandum document for different platforms.

  1. “EXPANSION ALDEHYDE PRODUCTION” SHASUN DRUGS LTD - Aug’2008 to May’2009

TROUBLE SHOOTING OF ALDEHYDE PROCESS – Increase of Aldehyde production from 296 MT to 324 MT by using six sigma methods.

Monitoring VSM & calculating OEE; Monitoring Boiler Data & finding out Boiler efficiency; Adopting Root Cause Analysis for increase in production; Helped in Preparing Proposal for Aldehyde Plant for increasing the production from 296 MT to 324 MT; Involved in Preparing Proposal for Energy & Solvent Saving with U loop & Strainer in the Brine Return Line to hot well; Calculated Evaporation Loss for all solvents in Tankfarm Area and adopted methods to prevent it.

Worked as both Production and Process Engineer in the manufacturing of Expandable Polystyrene – capacity of the plant 45000 TPD.

PFD, P&ID updation for small revamping project; Development of Effluent Treatment Plant PFD, P&ID; Involved in the preparation of SOP for ETP process and EPS manufacturing process; Involved in minimizing the consumption of fuel oil in boiler and thereby to increase its efficiency; Achieved hands-on experience in unit start up, shut down and equipment maintenance; Close follow-up with process parameters and control over them.

Operating plant equipment’s with PLC (with interlocks) & panel operation; Handling process Equipment’s in an efficient way & minimizing down time; Checked raw materials, Product Quality and effluent treatment regularly; Loading and unloading of hazardous materials namely STYRENE & PENTANE; As a responsibility of safety team have to check LEL, UEL & STATIC ELECTRICITY for EPS handling equipment’s; Deputed to Singapore (Nova Chemicals) for a period of 1 year for plant stabilization.

Involved in the manufacture of products like Magnesium Oratate, Oratic Acid.

Operated Reactor, Filter Press, Centrifuge, Drying, Milling, Packing and weighing of powdered products; Filtering of Mother Liquor, Transferring of Mother Liquor to Centrifuge; Ammonia Purging, Drying, Milling, Packing and Weighing.
