INTER-AREA ATHLETICS MATCH SELECTION

Dear college,

Thank you for participating in this year’s Mini-Olympics competition. Can I please ask for your help in organising the teams for the Inter-Area match that is taking place on Tuesday 10th July from 4pm at Millfield track in Street?

Below in a complete list of the selected team members. The children have been selected for the events in which they finished in the top three at the Mini-Olympics. In addition the sprinters and hurdlers will also by asked to be part of the Mendip relay teams. Some non-scoring races will be run to allow everyone the chance to do a number of events.

Please can you print out copies of the following form and hand out to all the children listed from your school and ask that their parents contact me over the weekend, either by phone or e-mail, to confirm whether they are able to come along on Tuesday? They should then bring along their filled-in forms on Tuesday.

Dear athlete,

Well done on your performance at this year’s Mini-Olympics competition! Please read the following and fill in the details requested below, either posting to me as soon as possible or bring it along on the day. You should keep the top half of the form for future reference. PLEASE EITHER E-MAIL, TEXT, or PHONE me OVER THE WEEKEND.

On Tuesday 10th July a Mendip Schools Team has been invited to take part in a match against South Somerset and West Somersetat Millfield Track, Street, starting at 4.30pm. The events are the same as you have been doing today, with the best two scoring from each area per event. Non-scoring events will be held to allow everyone to take part in more than one event/race.For those of you who may have commitments later in the evening, it is expected that the individual events will be completed by 5.45pm. The relay teams will be made up from the sprinters and hurdlers, but please indicate if you cannot stay for the relays.

Transport will be provided for all those that need it – I will arrange pick-ups and times when I know who is coming along.. If you are planning to make your own way to Street, please arrange to arrive by 4.00pm.
