These outings are available to residents over 50 years ofage who are socially isolated or who may be at risk ofsocial isolation. Numbers are limited to 28 per outing.

The outings depart from the main entrance of the Croydonand Ringwood Offices between 8.30am to 10.30am andreturn between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

Parking for outings leaving from the Croydon Office isavailable at the Arndale Shopping Centre car park. No allday parking is available in the Croydon office disabledcar parks.

Parking for outings leaving from the City Office inRingwood, is available on the street. Please check parkingrestrictions, or in the Karralyka bush car park – entrance via

Mines Road. No all day parking is available in the City Office disabled car parks.

New booking ballot – a fair and equitable approach

If you would like to participate in a monthly outing, you willneed to register your expression of interest by calling9294 5531 between 9am and 1pm on the ballot booking datespecified for each outing. Please leave your name, phonenumber and number of seats required - maximum of 2.

No registration will be considered outside of the 9am to1pm booking time.

Priority will be given to residents who have not previouslybeen on an outing. You will receive a phone call within 24hours of the ballot closing time informing you if you havebeen successful in the ballot for the outing. If you do notreceive a phone call within 24 hours you have not beensuccessful for this outing.

Conditions

•A maximum of two names can be put into the ballot byone person.

•Payments for each outing are paid directly to the venue.

•All Maroondah residents attending the outings must be

•able to enter and exit a 12-seat bus without assistance.

•No personal care will be available to those attending theoutings.

•Venues can change without notice due to unforeseencircumstances.

•Prices for entry and meals can change without notice.

•You will be notified at time of ballot call back of any changes

Friday 23 February

Visit Mullburry Hill Estate, Langwarrin.

This magnificent American Colonial style-home was built in 1926 as an extension to a pre-existing 1880s weatherboard cottage. Sir Daryl Lindsay, a member of the famous Lindsay family of artists, he was an accomplished painter and print maker. His wife, Lady Joan Lindsay was an artist and writer, best known for her novel, Picnic at Hanging Rock.

Lunch will be at the Baxter Tavern.

Friday 23 March

Visit Blue Lotus Gardens, Yarra Junction.

We take a drive up the Warburton Highway to Yarra Junction to visit the stunning Blue Lotus Gardens. You can take a walk around these extensive gardens and view the amazing display of water lilies and lotus plants.

Enjoy a coffee at the Blue Lotus café then have lunch at Cunningham’s Hotel, Yarra Junction.

Friday 27 April

Moonlight Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park.

Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park is a 25 acre bio-park within the Pearcedale Conservation Park on theMornington Peninsula. It displays fauna found in the Mornington Peninsula prior to European settlement. You can also get up close and personal with koalas, kangaroos, and emus!

Lunch at the Pelican Café, Tooradin. Please wear comfortable flat shoes and clothes to walk around the park.

Friday 25 May

Stokes Antique Collection at Forest Glade Gardens, Mt Macedon.

A wonderful visit to the Stokes Antique Collection, acknowledged as the greatest private collection of antiques and arts in Australia, in the magnificent Forest Glade Gardens. Lunch at the Mt Macedon Hotel.

Lunch at the Mt Macedon Hotel. Please wear comfortable walking shoes as there are a number of stairs in viewing the antiques and gardens.

Friday 22 June

Australian Jazz Museum.

Come along and take a tour of this fascinating museum and learn more about the influence of jazz on Australian culture. Enjoy light refreshments and listen to some fantastic jazz music.

Lunch is at the Ferntree Gully Hotel where you can enjoy their smorgasbord all you can eat lunch.

Christmas in July.

A surprise destination awaits you where you will enjoy a wonderful Christmas in July lunch with a stop on the way for a delicious morning tea. You won’t be disappointed with the surprise lunch on this day trip!

Lunch at Vibe Hotel Radius Bar & Grill, Marysville.

Today we drive through the Yarra Valley to Marysville, stopping along the way in Healesville for morning tea, then arriving in Marysville for lunch at the Vibe Hotel.

Main Ridge Dairy and tour

Main Ridge Dairy is a farmhouse cheese factory andgoat dairy located in Main Ridge on the MorningtonPeninsula. They are the only large commercial dairyoperating on the Peninsula and pride themselves inproducing a milk of the highest quality, that is thenhandmade into a range of farmhouse cheeses.

Edgars Mission Farm Sanctuary
