SAFER IN INDIA

Safer in India is a non-profit organization dedicated to the safety and security of women in

India, by utilizing technology to their aid.

Safer in India emerged as a conscientious response of three individuals who want to give

back to the society and were drawn together by a commitment towards enhancing the safety

and security of women in India and not only.

Our main objective is to develop technological support tools guiding and protecting our

women on the streets of our cities. We aim to provide the support and tools to empower the

society so that it can be self-sufficient in preventing the crimes happening against all

vulnerable people.

Moreover, we understand the importance of community and as a community we will also

strive to prevent crimes from happening. Safer in India is also designed to be an online citizenparticipative

platform where we intend to enhance awareness by the sharing and reporting

of incidents and where citizens have the privilege to remain anonymous. Reporting will in turn

facilitate prevention of further crime by forewarning and increased vigilance in hot-spot crime

areas.

We strongly believe that the society needs to be apprised of, and sensitised about,

unnecessary suffering. Safer in India is also a forum where women may not only interact and

express their views, but also share their anguish, doubts and advice in order to feel closer to

each others and much stronger.

We invite all socially, intellectually active and responsible citizens to support and promote

Safer in India and to be a participant in India's online drive towards making India a safer place.
