10. ‘Come and See - deepening our relationship with Jesus Christ’ – This reflection programme is offered by the Kerry Diocese and was run in Camp before Christmas and is now being organised for Annascaul & Inch. It is a 6 week programme, one hour per week beginning in Annascaul Sacristy on Wed. 12th March at 8pm. It is run by Sheila O’Donnell, Camp. If interested, please contact her at 086 2217072.

Centenary Anniversary of the death of Fr. William O’Connor:

He was born on 28th Oct. 1857 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

He was ordained on 1st July 1883 for the Kerry Diocese.

He became Parish Priest of Annascaul in 1907.

He died as Parish Priest of Annascaul after a short illness on 20th February 1914.

During his time as P.P. Annascaul he organised the building of the present Annascaul

National School, which opened on 14th April 1914, shortly after he had died.

He is buried in Annascaul Church grounds. “Beati mortui qui in domino moriuntur”
