Meeting started at 7:10pm and closed at 8:46 pm

Discussed minutes from last meeting – briefly talked about graduation lei’s (parents responsibility) and that the gowns/caps are now school standard - blue cap/gown with blue/gold tassel.

Fundraiser Coordinators – Several members took a piece of the fundraising efforts so I think we are in good shape for now!

Claudia Wirth - Restaurant Monthly event communication w/ Rocklin Academy

Sherill Rohde – Fill the Cap

Christina Maggard – Tamale order

Cheryl Isheim – Sports concessions partnered with PSP

Claudia Wirth - phone coordinator- will head the recruiting -> underclassman parents to work end of year events where Senior parents will not be available. Committee will do most of the planning but a “Senior Week” sub-committee will be formed early next year to organize and implement.

Maria Fraser – E-Waste Fundraiser for Jan

Leanne Filbrun – Paint recycling

Fundraiser Report (Mia Covering):

  • Parent/Student Volunteer Opportunities – always looking for people!
  • Restaurant Monthly Events:October 24 Chevy’s - Mia handed out flyer. Claudia took fliers to RA campuses. Next Restaurant fundraiser is Nov 18th -Boudin Bakery
  • Cozy Coco Friday -started Fri Oct 25 – Cheryl Isheim and Christina Maggard offered to donate cups. Mia has organized several students willing to assist.
  • Senior 2014 sweatshirts/t-shirt sales – Oct order was planned – Nov delivery – order forms not yet passed out as of Nov 1 – Mia is working on getting two shirts printed for viewing and this started any day.
  • Fill the CAP - Nov – Dec – Jan – Sherill Rohde volunteered to getting dates and locations.Discussed Seniors wearing caps/gowns and setting up tables at Raley’s/Safeway. Possible during Super Bowl weekend. Other schools have earned between $600-$800
  • Annual Senior Tamales Sale–Starts Oct 30 – ADVERTISE – Orders in by Nov 13 and delivered on Nov 20. Mia’s mom is making the tamales. Christina Maggard will work with Mia to collect and track all orders.
  • Haunted House/Spookfest – Christina volunteered to donate skillets and help Maria and Mia with sales.
  • Holiday Trade Show sponsored by the PSP – Dec 7th – Refreshment booth opportunity – it was also discussed that seniors might do a arts/crafts booth for children – we need a lead for this!
  • E-Waste fundraiser in Jan– Approval Pending - Maria will check with Lincoln High to see who they used. Also discussed paint recycling-Leanne Filbrun volunteered to help investigate.Does it exist for $$ or not?

Survey Report(Maria)

Went over the Senior survey for the Senior Trip. This will be a guide for the committee to start looking at travel options as we lock in the date for senior trip.

Treasurer Report (Mia/Maria)

Fireworks booth - Maria will send an email regarding the breakdown of how much each student earned.

Homecoming Concession - sold $116.18 of product / cost $248.32 will rollover the food to the Spookfest

Schedule meeting with Treasurer for budget accounting – Leanne will follow up with Maria

Misc Updates (Maria)

Senior Portraits – Looking good – as of this meeting 6 students were missing/no appt.

Grad Cap/Gown orders – tracking with vendor underway.

Class Motto announced –Students decided on: “Together, or not at all!”

Senior Class of 2014 bulletin Board - suggestion for Hobby Lobby as a source for material to decorate board.~Maria is looking for any feedback -Pros or Cons!

Senior Trip:option dates to discuss ~ AP teachers requested we wait until after the AP exams which are May5-16. Prom date is May 17 – Claudia confirmed; next weekend is Memorial day and the following weekend is the Senior Awards. ~ Discussed using a tour company to help package the trip->Sherill Rohde will look into that.~ Robyn Smith to contact parent heading the trip to Disneyland for Antelope High – no response back from her.~ Maria has proposed to staff that we go May 29,30,31,Dec 1,2 if Awards night can be moved.

Graduation week– hand out fund surprise each day to the kids – all to be planned after New year.

Senior Brunch -possible dates to be proposed but not 6/6 as it will be a busy prep day for all - discussed having the Historians speak at this event rather than graduation. Goal is Seniors would be at no cost, but discussed opening to parents and charging them tickets to cover that portion of the costs.

Next Meeting: Wed Dec 6th ; Sub-committees can add other meetings as needed.
