One of the last conversations Jesus had before he died on the cross was with a thief on the cross… 40But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die?41We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.”42Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

43And Jesus replied,“I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23” Praise God – “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8

Pastor’s Corner – New Sermon Series!

As the summer season comes to an unofficial close this Labor Day weekend, I will begin a new sermon series entitled “Overcoming” where we will reflect upon the guidance of scripture to help us conquer some of the emotional giants which can sometimes overwhelm us. The topics within this six week series will be:

  1. Overcoming Anger
  2. Overcoming Loneliness
  3. Overcoming Temptation
  4. Overcoming Hopelessness
  5. Overcoming Fear
  6. Overcoming Doubt

These are emotions which we all struggle with at different times in our lives, and the best way to conquer them when they arise is to be prepared. So I invite those of you who may have been away for much of the summer for various reasons, to get back into a weekly worship routine and not miss this series! My hope is to share some thoughts which may reframe your thinking, and possibly even change your life in the process 
