Kindergarten Regulations
School Hours:
The Kindergarten is open from 7.30 a.m. to 3.3.0 p.m., Monday to Thursday (full day). Parents wishing their children to be in the Kindergarten for half-day must pick them up by 1 p.m. Children may be dropped off at 7.30 and will be in the care of the class assistants. Teachers will be on duty from 8 a.m. Children must be picked up by 3.30 p.m. Parents wishing to pick their children after 3.3.0 p.m. MUST make prior arrangements with the Kindergarten. On Fridays theKindergarten ends at 1 p.m. We are closed over weekends and all gazetted public holidays.
Meals:
At Crèche we strive to provide nutritious, organic foods. A snack, accompanied with a glass of milk is served at 10 a.m. and then a hot lunch (both prepared on the premises) at 12.15 p.m. Please try not to send your children with sweets, cakes, chocolates etc. to the Kindergarten.
Telephone numbers, address & other contacts:
Kindly provide the school with your current telephone number and the physical address of your residence (i.e. estate name, street name, house no. etc.). This is important in case of an emergency. Contact names and numbers of next of kin are also important (in case the parent/guardian is out of town).
Payment of Kindergarten Fees:
Kindergarten fees is payable quarterly, in advance, on or before the 5th day of the term. All cheques are to be drawn in the name of CRECHE INTERNATIONAL. No remission of fees is made for absences of illness or infections, or any other cause whatsoever. Parents who withdraw their children during the term time to go on leave are still liable for a full terms’ fees.
Notice of Withdrawal
One full terms’ notice & reason for withdrawal, in writing, is required prior to the withdrawal of a child from the Kindergarten, OR A FULL TERMS’ FEES IS REQUIRED IN LIEU OF NOTICE:
Safety:
Our school grounds are designed for the comfort and safety of the child, and children are supervised at all times. We have a fully equipped First Aid Box on premises for minor injuries. Private medical cover provided by reputable HMOs is compulsory. We are also covered by AAR under Emergency and Evacuation.
Absences:
If your child is absent due to an illness or any other reason, kindly inform the Kindergarten.
Medication:
In case of a child who is under medication and the parent wishes the Kindergarten to administer same, kindly put it to us in writing of the quantity, frequency and why the child is under medication. All medicine bottles must be well labeled with the child’sname.
Pick –up:
Children will only be released to go home with their parents/guardians. Children will not be released to any other person without prior written notice from the parent/guardian. The written notice is to reach the office before 10am of the day in question.
Sun Protection:
Kindly send your child with a sun block and a hat which provides cover for the face and the neck. It is important to remember that anybody, and especially children, exposed to more than10 minutes of sunshine must always wear a sun block.
Crèche International is a private Kindergarten licensed by the Nairobi City Council and funded solely by income obtained from the Kindergarten fees. The management of the Kindergarten reserves the right to exclude any child from the Crèche for any reason whatsoever and entirely at its own discretion.
