  • Current and historical coordinated monitoring schedules (CMS) can be found at
  • Clean River Program Basin Highlight and Summary Reports can be found at
  • Ten years of data and 105 monitoring stations to be reviewed in report.
  • Change proposed to Cabeza Creek – may be reclassified from intermittent with pools.
  • Walzem Road monitoring station added due to impairment.
  • San Antonio River at HWY77 added.
  • Request for EAC comments on CRP Coordinated Monitoring Schedule ( by February 1.
  • Review of 2018 CRP Basin Summary Report timeline:
  • Draft Basin Summary Report provided to the EAC for comment: Feb. 1, 2018
  • Receive and incorporate EAC comments: Mar. 1, 2018
  • Draft Basin Summary Report due to TCEQ: Mar. 15, 2018

  • Increase the use and effective coordination of volunteers to augment SARA staff.
  • Proposal to add following (3) items under Implement Watershed Solutionsgoals:
  • Explore and expand opportunities and resources for restoration and protection of coastal wetlands.
  • Lead the technical analysis of long-term environmental change to develop projects to mitigate its effects.
  • Discuss and articulate SARA’s position on long-term environmental change.
  • Proposal to revise item 23 under Diversify and Leverage Resourcesgoals to read:
  • Pursue opportunities to foster relationships, share expertise and increase collaboration with other public entities, including River Authorities.

MEETING NOTES FOR AGENDA ITEM 6:

  • The Goliad Groundwater District Board recently discussed reports of waterway contamination as power loss during Hurricane Harvey caused aerobic septic systems to fail. SARA staff and support requested.
  • Next EAC meeting date and location tentatively scheduled for March 7, 2018 in Karnes County.
