  • Please provide advance notice to staff if family is going to be having a meal at Brentwood. Can notify receptionist (Deb) or nurse on your unit.
  • Menu boards – will likely not be moving outside of the dining rooms as there is not a lot of wall space to hang additional boards.
  • Forks and Knives – New ones have been ordered and put out into the mix of cutlery, which we will continue to replenish as needed.
  • Resident’s choice meal – We received positive feedback about meal on June 10 (sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, vegetable chow mien). Next Resident’s choice meal will be on July 15, previously received Italian as a suggestion. Resident suggestion today: liver and onions.
  • “Go Green” lunch on June 26 to celebrate “Go Green” week. We will incorporate some green food into the menu, but will also be focusing on conserving energy during its production. Go Green Lunch: Split Pea Soup, Chicken Pesto Croissant, Egg Salad Sandwich, Tossed Salad, Lime Jello
  • Butter packets – If butter packets cannot be found in the fridge in the dining room please speak with Meeleen directly when it happens so that she is aware of whether the staff is keeping it stocked properly and she will have a better idea of which staff is working if it isn’t done.
  • Request for coffee in Windsor Dining Room before breakfast is served • Feedback re: Windsor dining room tables being set last & sugar on tables • Request for raw vegetables on menu; may be too hard for many residents to eat • Kudos: dry toast! • Pasta too firm yesterday, not enough sauce • Cranberry/orange juice seems diluted • Meals are not always warm enough. Food is sometimes pre-served and sits on counter/table until resident arrives.
/ • Please contact Keira (dietician, ext 216) or Meeleen (residential services, ext 205) with any feedback on food and dietary services.
