at a current cost of £18 per year (or £5 per year for Social Members).

As a Service Sports Club, the RNRMMC enjoys charitable status. This means that your annual subscription can be treated as Gift Aid and, if you are a UK taxpayer and make a Gift Aid Declaration, the Inland Revenue will pay to the Club a sum equal to 25% of your subscription. It will cost you nothing and the declaration is a one-off action –the Club can continue to collect gift aid from the Inland Revenue until you cancel the declaration or leave the Club. To opt for Gift Aid you must provide your permanent address in the UK.

As an RNRMMC full or associate member you are eligible for affiliate membership of either the British Mountaineering Council or the Mountaineering Club of Scotland at no extra cost, which provides a number of benefits including civil liability insurance, discounts and the BMC or MCofS magazine. Please indicate above whether you wish to become an affiliate member of the BMC or MCof S. Whilst all affiliates will benefit from the insurance schemes of the BMC or MCofS, to gain the full range of benefits you must provide a current postal address in the UK.

Please pay the RN&RMMC Direct debits from the account detailed in the instruction subject to the safeguards assured by the Direct Debit Guarantee. I understand that this instruction may remain with the RN&RMMC and if so, details will be passed electronically to my Bank/Building Society.

The Direct Debit Guarantee(This guarantee should be detached and retained by the Payer.)

This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits

• If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit the RNRMMC will notify you 20 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request the RNRMMC to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request
• If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit by the RNRMMC or your bank or building society you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society
• If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when the RNRMMC asks you to
• You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify us.
