RESPECT THE JERSEY!

Game Jerseys:

Two sets of jerseys are given out to each team (Squirt U10-Midget U18). White jerseys are to be used unless the opposing team is wearing white jerseys. Names will be sewn on white jerseys. A list of assigned numbers will be available (numbers may not match between sets of jerseys due to availability) for the coaches and managers.

Game Jerseys are the property of CYH and not that of the hockey players. Players will be charged a fee for a lost or excessively damaged jersey.

Game jerseys are only issued to players when their tuition is paid in full. Therefore, a player is not allowed to participate in any games unless his/her tuition is paid in full.

Game jerseys are NOT to be held in the possession of a player except during a game. At the completion of each game, a parent of the same team should collect the jerseys.

Game jerseys are not to be cut and altered in any way. Also, please DO NOT use a sewing machine to install or reattach name plates that have come un-sewn. They must be hand stitched. Sewing machine stitching is very wearing on the jersey when removing name plates.Machine stitchingis only allowedwith prior consent from the Jersey Coordinator.

Jersey Care Instructions:

Jerseys should be washed in cold water (very gentle cycle) only and never placed in a dryer. They do not need to be washed after every game. After a game, remove the jerseys from the bag and air-dry them on their hangers. They only need to be washed approximately every three/four games, but this applies only if you follow the air-drying procedure noted above. Washing reduces the life of the jersey. Appliqués of any kind are not allowed on the jerseys.

Never use an iron on the jerseys. They may melt.

All jerseys must be cleaned and returned to the Jersey Coordinator as soon as the last game of the season is complete.

Sweat-laden jerseys should NEVER be left in a player’s hockey bag.

Hockey Socks:

One pair of hockey socks is provided to each player each year. The socks are the property of the player and therefore, do not need to be returned to CYH.

Please contact the Jersey Coordinator:

  • If you have a player that needs a different size jersey.
  • If damage occurs to a jersey during a game
  • If the jersey needs repair due to normal wear and tear (e.g. logo beginning to come off, name plate coming off, etc.)
