Your financial aid application has been selected for Verification, a process whereby TAMUCC must verify the accuracy of your FAFSA application.
You must appear in person at TAMUCC to verify your identity. You will need to present to the Office of Student Financial Assistance avalid government-issued photo identification (ID), such as, but not limited to, a driver’s license, other state-issued ID, or passport. TAMUCC will maintain a copy of your photo ID that is annotated with the date it was received and the name of the official at the institution authorized to collect the student’s ID. In addition, you will sign a statement of educational purpose in the presence of a Financial Aid Office official. Do not bring the attached form.
If are unable to physically come to campus, you can submit the attached form to TAMUCC. You must submit copy of a valid government-issued photo identification (ID) that is acknowledged in the notary statement below, such as but not limited to a driver’s license, other state-issued ID, or passport; and the original notarized Statement of Educational Purpose provided below.
Remember to complete this process as soon as possible. Failure to comply with this request in a timely manner significantly delays processing of your financial aid application. Please be aware that it can take up to two to three weeks for processing and we will be unable to issue your financial aid award letter or disburse any funds until the verification process is complete. Be sure to complete the entire form. Forms submitted with fields left blank or missing documentation will be returned as incomplete and further delay processing of your financial aid package.
