Proposal for 2 ELO Faculty Fellows

Description and Purpose

The ELO Initiative at Stockton will have finished conducting its second pilot at the end of the fall semester 2015. At that point, a large number of faculty members will have gained familiarity with ELOs and will have participated in eitherone of the two pilots, the 2020-funded ELO Study Group, the process of creating learning maps, the ELO Steering Committee, incorporation of ELOs into individual courses, ELO curriculum mapping, collaborative presentation and publication on ELOs, or other ELO-related activities. The next phase of the ELO implementation plan does not include further piloting; it aims to create the conditions for faculty/staff ownership of the initiative.

Those interested in serving as ELO Faculty Fellows should describe their involvement with the ELO initiative at Stockton in their applications; as well, they should explain their experience teaching with ELOs, their ELO assessment background (including program curriculum mapping), and their skill level in relation to the Ethical Reasoning or Creativity Innovation ELO. Both ELO Faculty Fellowsshould have familiarity with all of Stockton’s ten ELOs. However, applicants for the Ethical Reasoning ELO Faculty Fellow position should have experience teaching and evaluating students’ ethical thinking; applicants for the Creativity Innovation ELO Faculty Fellow position should have experience teaching and evaluating students’ creative projects.
