Project Coordinator – Healthy Lincoln County

MCD Public Health, a division of Medical Care Development (MCD), Inc., a not-for-profit health services organization in collaboration with Healthy Lincoln County (HLC) is recruiting for a Project Coordinator. This position requires extensive work with partnering organizations and key stakeholders from throughout Lincoln County. The successful candidate will be implementing population-based and community level health and substance use prevention programs. Being dynamic and outgoing are essential traits, as are skills in organizational development, program planning and implementation, collaboration, and communication. This part-time, 32 hour per week position will be located at the HLC office in Damariscotta. The individual in this position is eligible for MCD’s benefit package.

Successful applicants will be energetic, flexible, detailed-oriented, self-starters who are able to function successfully in a collaborative team environment and independently in addition to the ability to relate well to co-workers, diverse program partners, health care providers,community stakeholders, and the public. This position requires flexibility and the ability to successfully manage time and multiple tasks with little supervision. The individual in this position must be able to demonstrateorganizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to follow through to meet required deadlines. Detailed knowledge of all current Microsoft Office programs as well as any other software programs necessary to perform the job is essential as is the ability to understand and interpret data.

Bachelor’s degree in health-related field is preferred; however, equivalent related work experience may be considered. Master’s level training in related field is a plus. Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated cultural competence are essential. Current residents of Lincoln County and individuals who have existing strong connections to the people and communities in the county are especially encouraged to apply. Competencies among successful candidates are expected to be consistent with those identified by the Public Health Foundation Council on Linkages as Level I and II.
