New Name – Same Reliable Service

“F.I.T.”becomes“Contargo Industriepark Frankfurt – Höchst”

Duisburg, 7.11.2011: As of 01.10.2011, Frankfurt Intermodal Terminal (F.I.T.) –a joint venture of container logistics service provider Contargo and the chemical logistics experts InfraservLogistics (ISL) –bears the new name“Contargo Industriepark Frankfurt-Höchst”. The new name is intended to highlight the situation as it already exists: the Frankfurtterminal is an integral part of Contargo’s European network of container terminals, and is embedded in the HöchstIndustrial Park in Frankfurt am Main. For customers of the logistics service provider, this means that the tried and tested procedures and services of the network can be accessed from Frankfurt, too. Andof course there are the added advantages of being located in the Industrie-Park, including storage facilities for dangerous goods, stuffing and stripping of containers, cleaning and repairs of ISO tankcontainers, etc.

The existing infrastructure and staff remain the same. Referring to the name change,Thomas Löffler, Managing Directorof the Frankfurt terminal, says: “The new name is intended to show that the Rhine-Main area is an important location for Contargo. We want to make it clear to our customers that here, too, they can access the fullrange of servicesprovidedby ournetwork, and can benefit from our extensive know-how in container logistics.”

The outstandingcompetenceof the Frankfurt personnel – apart from theplanning of trimodal transports – is the handling and storage of dangerous goods anddangerous substances. Terminal Manager Andreas Mager explains:

“Especiallyin these disciplines, the partnership with ISL is enormously important to us. In the course of many years’ cooperation, we have developed a perfect ‘symbiosis’ which enables us to achieve optimum implementation of processes at the Höchst Industrie-Park.”

The plant is authorised in compliance with the Federal German Immission Control Act (BImSchV)for the planned interimstorage of all dangerous goodsclasses except 1, 4, 5 and 7, and for the handling of all dangerous goods classesexcept1 and 7. Its operating history to date is completely incident-free.The Frankfurt terminal also has a Reefer Service Stationwhere temperature controlled containers can be checked, and repairs carried out if necessary. Special services are also offered, including the storage of individual pallets, stuffing / stripping, assembling and sample testing, as well as tank cleaning and repairs, in cooperation with Infraserv Logistics (ISL) and Infraserv Höchst (ISH). Another terminal service frequently used by customersis the fitting ofinliners in silo containers.
