GANG OF MOBILE THIEVES BUSTED : 680 MOBILES WORTH RS.30 LACS RECOVERED

INCIDENT

On 23.02.10 at about 2 PM, Shri Arun Kumar Nakra, Director – Voice Mobile Pvt. Ltd. reported that one of his employees had gone to their Showroom at 5/67, WEA Padam Singh Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi for collecting some goods at about 2 PM and found that some persons have stolen several cartons of mobile phones. Consequently, a case in this regard was registered vide FIR No. 27/10 u/s 380 IPC at PS Karol Bagh, Delhi.

INVESTIGATION & RECOVERY

A police team led by Inspr. Vimal Kishor SHO/Karol Bagh comprising of SI Maan Singh, SI Prashant, ASI Mohinder Singh, ASI Om Parkash, HC Ravinder, HC Pradeep Kumar, HC Shailesh Kumar, HC Kiran Pal, HC V.P. Singh, Ct. Mahavir Singh, Ct. Jailal, Ct. Kuldeep Singh, Ct. Suresh Kumar, Ct. Niranjan and Ct. Shankar of PS Karol Bagh was constituted under the supervision of Shri S. Saravanan, ACP/Karol Bagh.

During investigation, an information was received that the persons suspected of committing theft were staying in the area of Anand Parbat. The police team immediately swung into action and a raid was immediately conducted and one person was apprehended who was identified as Balram s/o Daya Nand Prasad r/o 686, Gali No. 3, Military Road, Anand Parbat, Delhi (Permanent Address - Mohalla Bakar Ganj Bajana, Patna, Bihar) and about 400 mobile phones were recovered from his house. At the instance of the accused Balram, his accomplice Nikhil @ Lala s/o Mohinder Singh r/o 715/2, Gali No.5, Punjabi Basti, Anand Parbat, Delhi was also arrested and about 100 mobile phones were recovered from his house. During interrogation, he disclosed that he is working in this company for last ten years and he planned this theft along with his accomplices Balram, Lakhan, Ashwini and Kundan.

Further raids have been conducted at the instance of arrested accused persons and about 680 mobile phones worth Rs. 30 lacs have been recovered so far in this case. Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to nab the remaining accused and to affect more recovery.

NOTORIOUS SNATCHER INVOLVED IN MORE THAN 15 CRIMINAL CASES, ARRESTED : COUNTRY MADE PISTOL ALONGWITH LIVE CARTRIDGE AND 9 SNATCHED MOBILES RECOVERED

SouthDistrict Police has arrested one Bharat Singh age 27 years s/o Hayat Singh r/o 202-A, Shanti Camp Mandi New Delhi and solved a snatching case of P.S. Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi. Accused Bharat Singh is a notorious snatcher and has previously been involved in more than 15 criminal cases of snatching and thefts. One country made pistol alongwith live cartridge and 9 snatched mobile phones have been recovered from him.

INCIDENT & TEAM & ARREST

On 24.02.2010, an information was received that Bharat Singh, a notorious snatcher and B.C. of Police Station Saket would visit Katwaria Sarai Bus Stop in order to commit crime. Immediately, working on the said tip-off, a special team of P.S. Vasant Vihar comprising of SI Upender Singh, PSI Subhash Chand, HCs Giri Raj, Lekh Ram, Cts. Ramesh and Pradeep under the supervision of Inspr. Ved Parkash SHO/Vasant Vihar and Sh. Mohd. Ali ACP/Vasant Vihar was constituted to apprehend the criminal. The team further developed the information and apprehended Bharat Singh from Katwaria Sarai Bus Stop. A country made (Loaded) pistol alongwith one live cartridge was also recovered from his possession. Accordingly a case vide FIR No. 58/10 under Arms Act was registered at P.S. Vasant Vihar and accused Bharat Singh was arrested.

INTERROGATION & PROFILE

During interrogation, accused disclosed that one week ago, he had snatched a mobile phone from one lady at Sarojini Nagar area. A case in this regard had already been registered in P.S. Sarojini Nagar vide FIR No. 20/10 dt. 16/02/2010 u/s 356/379 IPC. 9 snatched mobile phones have been recovered at the instance of accused Bharat Singh.

RECOVERY

1. One country made pistol alongwith one live cartridge

2. 9 Snatched mobile phones

Further investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being made to ascertain his other involvements.

INTERSTATE GANG OF CHEATS INVOLVED IN HUMAN TRAFFICKING BUSTED : 3 KABOOTARBAZ ARRESTED : ONE PASSPORT HAVING FORGED VISA OF CANADA, 2 COMPUTERS SEVERAL DOCUMENTS AND RS.8 LAC CASH RECOVERED FROM THEM

South District Police has busted an interstate gang of cheats and arrested three accused who have been involved in illegal human trafficking and have cheated several innocent persons on the pretext of sending them abroad especially Canada. Two computers, one Passport having forged Visa of Canada and Rs.8 Lacs in cash have been recovered from them.

ACCUSED ARRESTED:

  1. Neeraj Jain age 31 years S/O Late Sh. Tekam Chand Jain R/O H.No.5, near Barat Ghar, Sri Niwas Puri, Private colony, Delhi
  2. Jasbir Singh age 36 years S/O Sh.Bhajan Singh R/O Village and Post Office Ghalal, Tehsil Samrala, Distt. Ludhiana, Punjab.
  3. Darbara Singh age37 years S/O Sh. Jarnail Singh R/O Village Rajgarh, Tehsil Khanna, Distt. Ludhiana, Punjab.

TEAM , INCIDENT & ARREST

In the recent past, several incidents have come to notice in which innocent villagers of Punjab were being cheated on the pretext of sending them abroad. In order to prevent such type of incidents, a team of Anti Auto Theft Squad, South District consisting of ASIs Samay Singh, Om Parkash, HCs Parmod Kumar, Abdul Hakim, Cts. Anil Kumar. Amit and Ajay Tokas under the supervision of Sub Inspector Balihar Singh , I/C AATS and Shri Bal Krishan ACP/Operations was formed to identify and apprehend the accused involved in these incidents. Sources were deployed in the area to provide information about such cheats. One of the sources informed that one Neeraj Jain has opened a new office at Bhikaji Cama Place in the name of Lucky Tour & Travels for International/Domestic Tours & Ticketing. But, in fact, he is involved in illegal human trafficking and also cheating innocent villagers of Punjab and Haryana on the pretext of sending them abroad.

The team so formed worked relentlessly and collected further intelligence and closely monitored the activities as well as people visiting this office. These details were analyzed minutely and on the basis of secret information and intelligence collected, it came to fore that agents of Punjab and Delhi are involved in illegal human trafficking and this gang of cheats is headed by Neeraj Jain of Sri Niwas Puri. The hard work of police team bore results and acted upon specific information when two agents of Punjab and Neeraj Jain were in the process of cheating a person, all the three accused persons were apprehended from Lucky Tour & Travels Office at Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi. A case vide FIR No.52/10 u/s 420/467/468/471/120B IPC & 12 P.P Act, was registered at P.S. R.K.Puram , New Delhi and all the three accused were arrested.

INTEROGATION, MODUS OPRENDI AND PROFILE

During interrogation, it revealed that Neeraj Jain has opened Lucky Tour & Travels Office at Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi in the month of Niovember,2009 for providing domestic/International Ticketing & Tours only to hide his illegal activity of human trafficking and cheating. He gave advertisement in the leading Newspapers of Punjab like Punjab Kesri, Jagbani, Ajeet, Tribune and Dainik Jagran etc. for visa consultancy and for guidance to the people who are interested to go abroad especially Canada. He came in contact with several agents of Punjab including Darbara Singh and Jasbir Singh. They have nothing to do in sending someone abroad, but they used to make feel the victim that he is in contact with the genuine agents and Canadian Visa affixed on the passport is genuine. The victim was also asked to purchase sufficient clothes for cold environment in Canada and Darbara Singh himself went for purchasing of warm clothes for victim Lakhvir Singh. After committing cheating, it was the duty of agents of Punjab that the victim should not be allowed to contact law enforcement agencies. They also used to threaten the victim that in case of registration of any criminal case, he would not be able to visit abroad.

Neeraj Jain was born in the year 1979 at Delhi and he has studied up to 9th class. He also looked after one Pan Shop of his uncle in the Main Market Defence Colony. Previously, he has also worked as a Sub Contractor of parking in the markets of Pitam Pura, South Ex -II, Malviya Nagar etc. In the month of November, he came in contact with Manav and Rajesh who are experts in cheating with forged stickers and he got an idea and opened his office at Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi and started illegal activities.

Jasbir Singh was born in the year 1974 at his native village in Punjab and he has studied up to 5th class. He is in the illegal activities of human trafficking for the last about 4 years used to bring the victim to the office of Neeraj Jain at Bhikaji Cama Place.

Darbara Singh was born in the year 1973 at his native village in Punjab and he has studied up to 12th class. He came in contact with Jasbir Singh about 4 year ago as one relative of Jasbir Singh is known to Darbara Singh. Darbara Singh came in contact with Neeraj Jain through Jasbir Singh

RECOVERY

  1. Rs.8 Lac Cash.
  2. One Passport with forged sticker visa of Canada.
  3. Two computer sets.
  4. Several documents from the office.

Investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being made to effect more recoveries and arrest their other associates.
