There are 8 well-being indicators that are termed SHANARRI. This is short for Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible & Included. The main focus of GIRFEC is safe guarding your child’s well-being and setting out positive achievable goals for them so that they can be the best for themselves. This then raises their confidence and self- esteem and gives them the opportunity to have a bright and promising future.The SHANNARI indicators are at the heart of GIRFEC. Are the SHANNARI well-being indicators something that you have heard of?

Thank you for participating in this survey. Your answers will help to shape a GIRFEC Awareness Raising session for Parent/Carers as well as disabled children and young people and those with a long term condition. It will also assist in putting together a Training for Trainers session aimed at professionals who work with parent/carers and young people.
