Perform to a Captive Audience of 300 Guests!

Supporting live theatre in Adelaide

MODBURY SA 5092ABN: 93 297 960 525

Each year, the Adelaide Theatre Guide seeks expressions of interest from those with upcoming productions, who are interested in gaining some extra publicity by performing to guests at our annual Awards and GalaDinner – this year on Saturday, 10thSeptember 2016.

If you have an upcoming production, or an act that could use some publicity, we’d love to hear from you!

Maximum 5 minutes in length.

Can be enjoyed in the context of the Awards Dinner as a stand-alone piece.

Can be performed within a small stage space.

Maximum of 4 people on stage at one time (would suit solo and/or duet performances, but not essential).

Costumes and props to be provided by performing company as appropriate.

Piano and/or sound system, lighting and microphones will be provided.

Payment to APRA will be borne by the Adelaide Theatre Guide, however payment of performance services will not be included and companies should view this opportunity as promotional.

Changing rooms and preparation areas will be provided.

This is a great opportunity to promote your next show to a captive audience.

In addition to performing, productions will be promoted within the event program (distributed to approximately 300 guests) as well as the opportunity to exclusively display promotional materials (such as posters, table flyers) at the event.

Note: As this promotional opportunity is the primary benefit to performing companies, those companies not performing are asked not to distribute promotional material at the event.

Each year, we endeavour to take on as many acts as possible within the schedule for the evening (generally around 3-4 acts will be chosen). However, in an attempt to enable as many groups as possible to have an opportunity for promotion across the years, groups will be selected on a rotation basis (wherever possible).

To give us a good idea of the type and style of act you plan to present, and where best this would fit in with the running schedule, a small group of event organisers (2-3 people) mayarrange to visit you to see a ‘preview’ of the act in the weeksbetween1and 14August at either your rehearsal venue, or somewhere else appropriate, at a mutually agreed time. Please note on this form if there are any time constraints around your audition during these weeks.

Note: We understand that many companies are only at the early stages of rehearsals for productions to be staged later in the year, and that successful acts will have more time to prepare for the performance prior to the event. For this reason we encourage you to submit an expression of interestin performing, even if the performance is still in early stages (as long as the ‘preview’ performance can provides a good representation of what will be presented for the performance itself.)
