Lüneburg, Germany, November 11, 2015 – Werum IT Solutions is expanding its integrating role in the field of packaging serialization and aggregation and is extending its independent Track & Trace solution by a connection to OCS Checkweighers equipment.Thus, PAS-X Track & Trace does not only provide an adapter to OCS, but to all leading line controllers such as Antares Vision, Laetus, Optel Vision, SeidenaderMaschinenbau, Systech, and Uhlmann.
“As a leading supplier of manufacturing IT solutions for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, we also actively participate in the Open-SCS Working Group,” says Jürgen Laskowski, Senior Head of Global Projects III, Werum IT Solutions GmbH. “Our working group is a partner of the OPC Foundation. Our aim is to develop an open standard comprising the complete business transaction for the data exchange in packaging serialization in the healthcare industry.”
With PAS-X Track & Trace Werum offers a solution for the pharmaceutical industry to help them to comply with anti-counterfeiting requirements for medical drugs. It provides serialization and aggregation functionality for packaging processes and integrates the Enterprise Resource Planning and Global Repository with the shop floor packaging equipment and line controllers. In contrast to the multi-line managers of the equipment suppliers, PAS-X Track & Trace comprises a database to store all serialization data so that a connection to a global external repository is not required. In particular, this approach enables the serialization tree management in the entire manufacturing area, such as repackaging and rework.PAS-X Track & Trace is a smart option to get started with Werum’s manufacturing IT solutions and can easily be extended to become the PAS-X Packaging Solution or the PAS-X Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
