We are planning to carry out the following activities in our project:
1) transfer of knowledge and skills of sustainable development of Norwegian partners to local authority in Lithuania;
2) improving the level of administrative and public capacities of local institutions, especially in the field of strategic planning in order to share experience of Norwegian partners for our local authorities;
3) promotion of life – long learning for local people of municipalities, especially in the field of green economy and smart solutions in energy efficiency;
4) promotion of anti-corruption measures on local level;
GPI is looking for next partners from Norway:
1) Local authorities in Norway, with no more than 30000 inhabitants in order to provide first and second group of above mentioned activities in cooperation with the Green policy Institute;

Širvintos District Police Headquarters ofVilnius county Police Headquartes / Širvintos District Police Headquarters is the structural unit of Vilnius County Police Headquarters. The Headquarters implements police activities and carries out assigned function in Širvintos district and other territories of the county. The area of Širvintos district is 906 sq. km. with 17 500 inhabitants: 7 000 inhabitants live in urban area, the rest 10 000 inhabitants live in the rural area. Kaunas in-service teacher training center / Kaunas in-service teacher training center is budgetary institution (funded by the municipality). In our institution mostly learns teachers from Kaunas city, but some comes from other cities of Lithuania. In 2014 year in Center qualification development events attended 16134 participants. Kaunas in-service teacher training center organizes qualification development events not only for teachers, but also for head of schools, public officials (municipal administrative staff), sports coaches and others. During the year 2014 Kaunas in-service teacher training center organized 550 qualification development events. Kaunas in-service teacher training center have 30 employees: director, two directors deputy's and 8 methodists. Our institution engaged in project activities, prepare projects. Kaunas in-service Teacher-training centre is the first accredited centre in Lithuania. Centre is accredited for 5 years. Accreditation Certificate is given according the order Nr. ISAK-1851 by Minister of Education and Science in 2007-09-20. In 2013 centre was accredited for the second time. Certificate AP Nr. 046 is given according the order Nr. Association Rural Internet Access Points / Association has been operating in Lithuania since 2006. Non-governmental non-profit organization was founded by professionals who have been working in the field of ICT, adults/youth education for more than 15 years. The goal of the Association is to enable local individuals and institutions to build key elements of modern and vibrant society through promotion of new information and communication technologies (further - ICT), expansion of access to the Internet recourses and improvement of quality of education.
In Lithuania, the Association works across a number of ICT and education related sectors, including long life learning for adults in ICT field and non-formal education for youth in ICT. Also the Association work covers such activities as conducting trainings in ICT, promoting e-learning and innovative learning technologies, developing Web technologies, raising awareness of the Safer Internet and teaching project management approaches.
For years, the Association is closely engaged and collaborate with a national public libraries network through supporting libraries in building librarians competences in the field of ICT. Also, during the last three years the Association has developed strong partnership with schools network throughout the country and conducting a number of non-formal educational activities for the pupils. The Association engages 100 members, full-time 3 employees and recruits educators across the country for conducting trainings in adults and youth digital learning.
As a result of the Association's extensive work it has directly benefited thousands of Lithuanian citizens. The target group involves not only adults, children, youth living both in rural and urban areas, unemployed, disabled people but also local and national governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations that play an important role in building sustainable ICT and education initiatives to populations.
The Association also cooperates with European and international partners. The Association has participated in national and European initiatives, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig, Nordplus, Safer Internet Program, Youth in Action, Phare. / Since children online safety is a prioritised task in Norway we are looking for the partners with an organization(s) that would agree to join our project idea. In particular we are looking for an organization(s) that would agree to sharing expertise in the field of safe and responsible behaviour online for children at risk and share practices of ICT usage in day care centres or any other non-formal children-related institutions.
A brief description of project idea
Information Technology sector offers ever growing array of opportunities for children and young people. The Internet, mobile phones, tablets, social networking and other interactive services have transformed the way in which we live. Children and young people are amongst early adopters of new technologies and daily use various interactive services and devices to communicate, interact, create and share content with family and friends. Online abuse such as cyber bullying, grooming, thefts, racism, hate speech, sexualisation and etc pose growing risks to youngsters. It is therefore important for adults to help children behave safe online and encourage safe IT use.
The project intends to respond to these challenges and seeks to protect children (especially those at risk) from harmful media content by developing new consulting and information sharing service on safe online behaviour amongst children and youth at the day care centres throughout Lithuania.
There are more than 450 day care centres in Lithuania providing mix of non-formal educational activities and social services to children at risk or with disabilities and their family members. Around 10,000 children and youths with special needs attend and spend their leisure time at the centres a year. A number of day care centres also provide ICT services and strengthen children digital skills.
With the project we would like: i) to establish of consulting and information sharing service on safe and responsible use of the Internet at the day care centres in Lithuania ii) to build capacity of professionals working at day care centres and with children at risk in the field of safe online behaviour; iii) to strengthen skills for responsible Internet use of children and youth at risk as well as their family members.

The Academy of Cultural Heritage / The Academy of Cultural Heritage is a non-profit organisation operating in the field of cultural heritage protection and training and providing services in this field. Academy of Cultural Heritage was founded on the 20th of May 1998 by the agreement signed by and between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, the Department of Cultural Heritage Protection, Vilnius University, Vilnius Art Academy, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. Key objective of the CHA is various training and qualification improvement courses. Every year, the Cultural Heritage Academy organises seminars and training courses for monument preservation specialists of the municipalities and staff of territorial units of the Cultural Heritage Department and training courses on cultural valuables protection for the customs officers, policemen, builders, staff of special services of the Republic of Lithuania. / 1. The project problem – the culture heritage is an important part of Lithuanian cultural inheritance and unfortunately one of the most fragile. Down the ages the Lithuanian culture heritage objects speaks of national identity and also became the European value. There are different cultural, social, economic, demographical, and natural and development factors which causes the decay of the cultural heritage, which urges to provide measures against it. These themes will be incorporated in all projects activities.
2. The target group – the workers and state servants from these institutions: Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture (further – Department), territorial subdivision of the Department in Vilnius, Kaunas, Panevėžys, Utena, Telšiai, Klaipėda, Tauragė, Šiauliai, Marijampolė, Alytus, the municipality of all Lithuania (60 municipalitys).
3. The project aim – to bring the Lithuanian cultural heritage up-to-date and to preserve it together with the specialists of the Norwegian cultural heritage, by adjusting the Norwegian experience.
4. Basic activities – to organize theoretical and practical seminars in various cultural heritage fields. The theoretical part of the seminars will cover the topics of the preservation and research methodology of the heritage objects as well as the topic of the security law acts, the conservation and preservation of the immovable heritage. In the practical part of the seminars the research will be carried out in the cultural heritage object. The material for the seminars will be published in separate publication.
5. The project achievements – the methodological material published, the start of dealing with the problems of cultural heritage would be made, and the collaboration bonds with Norwegian heritage specialists would be tied. / / +37061381889 / Project manager
ANYKŠČIAI BUSINESS INFORMATION CENTER, Public Institution / Anykščiai business information center (BIC) was founded by the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Lithuania and Council of Anykščiai district Municipality in 2002. Staff: 4 employees.
• BIC provide information and practical assistance to entrepreneurs, analyses and take part in creating favorable business environment in Anykščiai district (Utena region);
• promote the establishment of new companies and support startups and small business in the region;
• assist the existing companies, freelancers and communities business in their development and adjustment to the volatile market conditions, increase their competitiveness and effectiveness;
• participate in programs of Lithuanian, EU and other international funds to develop business and human resources. / Anykščiai BIC together with partners from Utena region (Business information centers in Utena, Ignalina, Zarasai and Visaginas business incubator) looking for a partners from Norway fo common gaining knowledge and perfecting skills project.
We want to take the best practices from Norway partners in fields such as: creation of regional, national and international business development networks through IT solutions. Like a pilot project we (together with all partners) want to create first in Lithuania common IT platform for the communities business, freelancers and small enterprises in the Utena region (maybe international) and training to use it.
During the project business advisers, entrepreneurs, freelancers and local communities members through study visits, trainings, common workshops will gain knowledge about e-networks and e-sales opportunities, how to creatively use empty real estate spaces for business incubators, Hub’s and etc. Successful entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to learn mentoring.

Psychology studio "Atradimai" (eng. "Discoveries" / Psychology studio "Atradimai" is the public organization, established in 2013. By the time we have only one permanent employee, but we have about ten volunteers or/and temporary employee.
The field of activity of organization is promotion of life-long learning, i.e. we organize various courses and seminars for adults.
