Student Name: ______

Objective: In this unit, we have been discussing Photography, Design and Typography. For your assignment, you will create a photo collage that represents a “Day in My School Life.” The following is required:

1.  Collect AT LEAST 10 Photographs that you will use in the collage. These photos should consist of a visual representation of things that occur during your school day. They do not have to all include you, but you must use AT LEAST three of the five rules of composition in your collage. (ROC: Fill the Frame, Watch the Background, Rule of Thirds, Leading Lines and Frame the Photograph)

2.  The collage must have a title that identifies the purpose. Title should be clear and easy to read from at least 3 feet away. Title must include at least one layer style that does not prevent readability.

3.  At least two font styles must be used – one serif font and one sans serif font. You will have to identify each font type in your Works Cited page.

4.  Any pictures that you do not take yourself must include a source citation. (Google is not a source). [Example: 2001. Hollywood Sign. Panasonic Webcams. August 20, 2014 from http://www.hollywoodsign.org]

5.  Photos and text should be arranged in the collage to demonstrate maximum creativity and attractiveness. Some attention should be paid to applying design elements and design principles.
