JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible to: Marketing Manager,

Head of Marketing & Communications

Purpose of post:

·  To provide exceptional, innovative, high quality graphic design services to Nottingham Playhouse across print and digital formats to promote the theatre’s work, awareness and brand.

·  To act as brand guardian for the organisation.

Duties include:

·  To play a leading role in shaping and creating the look and feel of all Nottingham Playhouse communications materials.

·  To design Nottingham Playhouse’s season brochure, and to work with the Marketing team to developing the design.

·  To design all print for Nottingham Playhouse including Main Stage productions, Neville Studio productions, Participation brochures and productions, Fundraising and Development, CAST as required, and other print as agreed with the Marketing Manager.

·  To design front-of-house material such as posters, pop-ups, banners, boards and others as required.

·  To create all digital graphics for use in electronic communications.

·  To design all corporate materials (eg stationery) as required.

·  To design print and digital graphics that address the needs of diverse recipients eg large print for people with visual impairment.

·  To manage print production for all print jobs.

·  To work with Marketing and Communications Department to produce impactful campaigns and materials to have a significant impact on audiences.

·  To lead on design briefs from Marketing and Communications as well as other departments across the organisation, from initial brief to completion, working on amends in a timely fashion and providing materials in different formats as required.

·  To manage Nottingham Playhouse asset bank of images and other media to ensure that it is up to date and responsive to the needs of the Marketing and Communications Department and wider organisation.

·  To play an active part in the Marketing and Communications Department displaying a positive attitude towards and participating in department meetings and projects.

·  To champion Nottingham Playhouse’s brands so that all Playhouse communications adhere to its brand guidelines and that brand guidelines are adhered to across all departments.

·  To create templates and ‘how to’ guides for print and other materials that can be used by the department whenever needed.

·  To work with outside design agencies as required to develop and maintain company brand guidelines.

General:

·  To always act in the best interests of Nottingham Playhouse.
