Our agreement

This is our agreement for caring for …………………………

It sets out our undertakings to you and what you authorise us to do, as far as access to your home and care of your cat are concerned.

We at Muddy Dog Paws agree to:-

Be reliable, caring and trustworthy in our care of your cat.

Let you know who will be caring for your cat and give you a contact number for them. Usually this will be Caroline, but if because of holiday or illness she is unable to care for your cat, an equally responsible, caring and trustworthy person will be appointed, and you will be informed of this change in advance, wherever possible. They too will be insured.

Keep your keys safely in a way that doesn’t identify your name or address.

As our client, you authorise us to:-

On a regular basis

Hold your keys and have access to your home.

Feed your cat, give fresh water to her and empty her litter tray.

Give any prescribed medicine (if you have asked us to do this).

If there’s an emergency

Seek emergency veterinary care and approve treatment in consultation with the vet (if we are unable to get hold of you straight away) – though you will have to pay the cost.

In the worst circumstances, should the vet’s advice be euthanasia, we will contact you to authorise this, as we believe that only you can make such an important decision.

As our client, you agree to:-

Let us know if your cat is unwell or has any injuries.

Be open and honest with us about what you know about your cat’s temperament and behaviour towards people.

Accept liability for any damages if we’re exposed to serious illness or injury as a result of a bite or scratch from your cat.

Fees

Our fees are as we have discussed with you, this is for visiting your home to essentially feed your cat and any mileage.

We request first-time clients to pay in advance. For future assignments, you acknowledge that payment is due immediately upon completion of the agreed period. For regular Monday to Friday assignments we will invoice at the end of the month. A late payment chargeof 25% of the outstanding fees will be added to unpaid balances after 30 days. A handling fee of £25.00 will be charged on all returned cheques.

In the event it is necessary to initiate collection proceedings on the account, you will be responsible for all legal fees and costs of collection.

We do need 24 hours’ notice of any cancellation or we’ll have to ask you to pay the cost of the visit.
