Week of September 5, 2016

Upcoming Dates:

* *Sept 8 - THURSDAY– Grandparent’s Day

*Sept 14 – Watch D.O.G.S. meeting (dads) 6pm

*Sept 19 – P.I.E. meeting (any volunteer) 6pm

Things to know:

*Grandparents day is September 8th. PLEASE NOTICE THE DATE HAS CHANGED. We had a conflict in scheduling. Grandparent’s day is NOT Friday, it IS Thursday. Our lunch time is 11:00. We are asking Grandparents/family to wait in the hallway after signing in at the office. Then when we exit the classroom to go to the cafeteria, we will meet our family then. After enjoying lunch with your student, families can drop your kiddo back off at our classroom at the end of our normal lunch time.

*Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that we have at North to help show the students that dads care about their education too. If you would like to know more about it or would like to be part of it, please attend the meeting. It starts at 6:00pm here at North. If you can’t make it to the meeting but would like to know more, you can contact our Assistant Principal Mrs. Kelley about it.

*Be sure to label any money coming to school.

**When getting ready for school in the mornings, be mindful of the dress code. We also prefer for the girls to wear shorts under their skirts or dresses and tennis shoes for play. Also, an extra change of clothes to be kept in their backpacks or lockers would be appreciated.

*Remember to check and sign Star Binders every night. Snack calendars are in Star Binders behind the behavior calendar. Please be sure to check this for the day your child is responsible for snack. We do not have any allergies. I am asking that you send enough snacks for at least 15 students and that it be sent at least by the morning of the day your child is responsible for snack. If you would like to send it up before then you may. Prepacked snacks would be the best and easiest for us to pass out, even if you package them at home yourself for us. Please do not send a box of crackers for us to split here. We do not have time to divide them up in class.
