MINUTES OF A CAUCUS AND REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF

COMMISSIONERS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF HADDON, IN THE

COUNTY OF CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY, HELD DECEMBER 20, 2016

IN THE MUNICIPALBUILDING AT 7:00 PM.

A caucus and regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Haddon was convened in the MunicipalBuilding, 135 Haddon Avenue, Westmont, NJ on Tuesday, December 20, 2016at 7:00PM.

Mayor Teague requested all stand for the flag salute.

Mayor Teagueannounced that Chapter 231, Public Law 1975 requires adequate notice of this meeting be provided. This was done by placing Annual Notice in the Courier-Post and Retrospect Newspapers and by posting on two bulletin boards in the MunicipalBuilding.

Commissioner Foley moved, seconded by Commissioner Dougherty that the Amended Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on October 25, 2016 reflecting the approval of the October 18, 2016 Caucus Meeting Minutes be approved, with all members voting in the affirmative.

Commissioner Foley moved, seconded by Commissioner Dougherty to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on November 22, 2016, with all members voting in the affirmative.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS:

Greg Fusco reviewed the Engineer’s Report for December 20, 2016.

Public Works, Water/Sewer Department: Mr. Stevenson reportedthat Public Works is continuing with leaf season for as long as weather allows. Mr. Stevenson further reported that the weather forecast for this week looks good. He reported that Public Works started “leafing” on Thursday following behind the trash collection schedule in the Collingswood Extension and West Collingswood Heights. Furthermore, Mr. Stevenson noted that if the weather remained conducive to “leafing,” Public Works will clean up the Crystal Lake Pool and all other Township properties.

Tax Assessor: Mr. Blaskey reported that the Assessor’s office is finishing up the 2017 book and will continue with that until around January 5th or6th.

Construction Office: Mr. DePalma reported the schools are all TCO and the only thing pending is the elevators.

Compliance Officer: Ms. Band reportedshe met with Commissioner Foley and Ms. Prince last week to get updated on Compliance.

There being no further business on the agenda, Commissioner Foleymoved to open the meeting to the public, seconded by Commissioner Dougherty, with all members voting in the affirmative.

There being nocomments, Commissioner Foley moved to close the public comment portion of the meeting, seconded by Commissioner Dougherty, with all members voting in the affirmative.

Commissioner Foley reported on two payroll issues which arose in the Construction Office with regard to the Township’s per diem employees. The issues were discussed between the Mayor, Commissioners, and Ms. Band whereby recommendations for appropriate compensation for services were made and agreed upon.

Mayor Teague moved, seconded by Commissioner Foley that the Township appropriate an additional $800 in the line item for electrical inspector, with all members affirmatively concurring.

Commissioner Foley wished everyone in Township a very Merry Christmas, a very Happy Hanukkah and a very Happy New Year on behalf of Mayor Teague, Commissioner Dougherty, the entire staff, administration, and himself.

There being no further business to discuss, Commissioner Foley moved, seconded by Commissioner Dougherty that the meeting be adjourned at 7:18 PM, with allmembers voting in the affirmative.
