We had 18 players and supporters attend our AGM and voted in a new Committee to help in the running of the club. Pleased to see some new ( younger!) faces in Jack Boston, Jordan Emms and Luke Isaacson on the Committee.
Good things expected of 2016, with 1st Xi due to welcome one or two newplayers and the second team with new captain Craig Faux following Andy Bowles retirement from the role. We are also looking for a sponsor to help us run youth cricket for the under 14’s. /

Indoor Nets
We have booked indoor nets at Littleport Sports Centre running 8.00pm to 9.30pm on Sunday nights on the following dates … March 13th,March 20th, 3rd April and 10thApril. All players new and old very welcome. Please contact James Nuttall on m-07702791441 .
£10 fee for all four sessions / Theft of Outfield Mowing Machine
We are really mortified bythe theft of our outfield mower, stolen from locked container and taken out through hedge by Stanker’s pond in early December. The job of the newly elected committee will be to begin fundraising. We are very grateful for small grant from the Parish Council and are now actively seeking more help to secure a replacement.
Cricket Club Easter Bingo at British Legion:
Friday March 18th has been booked for the next Bingo. Usual fine prizes will be on offer and thanks also to local businesses for supporting Bingo event…. I did not witness this but am told ”Oakee“ Northrop running two runs ( without stopping) also caused mirth all round.

The cricket club has been playing in current location on Station Road for over 100 years. It was important for us to have the significance of this heritage green space for Sutton Village noted at the consultation meeting. We do value our longstanding relationship with our landlords.
Cricket club Quiz Night at British Legion
Attended by over 80 in late autumn, a very successful night was had by all. Eventual winning team were Alex, Lucy and Quinn Scott with Ross and Nik Ashby. Hoping to run another one of these this year. / Kit Sponsor for 2016 confirmed.
