Meeting Notes of the Fullerton Sr. Men’s Golf Club Year End Meeting, 12/18/2017

  1. President Mundwiller convened the Meeting at 12:45 PM. There were 21 current Members present; a quorum was met; the Members in attendance were in position to amend the Club’s Policies and Business model.
  2. Club Officers were introduced (same three men as in 2017), Ron Mundwiller, President, Boyd Davis, Vice President and Bob Schaefer, Secretary. These individuals were reappointed by acclimation and our fourth Officer position – Tournament Chairman – was filled by John Pantle, again by acclimation. Doug Oldham was appointed as Asst. Tournament Chairman.
  3. President Mundwiller announced that the Club’s intention was to renew the traditional joint golf event held with the Fullerton Sr. Women’s Golf Club in 2018. The passing of two years without this event being staged was, per President Mundwiller, not intentional but occurred due to an inability to get a sufficient number of their players to attend.
  4. President Mundwiller presented a list of the new Members who joined the Club in 2017 and a list of the 8 former Members who did not renew their Membership. The net addition of one Member brought our 2018 headcount to 35. He called for a target of 50 Members as our Goal for yearend 2018.
  5. Club GM, Steve Donar, gave a brief presentation on planned course improvements throughout 2018.
  6. President Mundwiller presented a listing of our Club’s yearend expenses and revenue streams. The year 2017 ending Club cash account was shown to be almost the equal of the Club’s yearend cash account at the end of 2016. The Club finances were broadly discussed and approved by acclimation.
  7. President Mundwiller reviewed how the Club determines handicaps for the Club’s Championship Tournaments. There were no questions concerning this methodology and a consensus was achieved to retain that methodology “as is”.
  8. Other items of information were presented including (A) an announcement that a Club Handbook is being prepared and that it will be presented to the Membership for review sometime in the spring and (B) that there were no Hole-In-Ones made in 2017.

Motions made and seconded:
