Monitor PE through peer conferencing and lesson observations. Ongoing.
Workedalongside specialist staff:
Expert tutors have worked on site, alongside teachers to give CPD/support and to provide fun sessions for the children: Serena Williams – Dance; Zoe Hills – Badminton; Sue Cummings - Wheel Chair Dancing;Andy Saunders -Self Defence (Chestnut only); Football, TUFC coaches.
Provided inset opportunities:
An Inclusion Tennis inset was delivered by the LTA and hosted at Mayfield where surrounding schools were invited.
Dance Inset delivered to all Mayfield Staff and again, local Primaries were invited.
Attended Area SEND PE Committee Meetings
Ongoing commitment providing access to competition, CPD and community sports coaching initiatives - aswell as receiving subject knowledge updates. / Staff are more confident in providing high quality PE lessons.
Lesson observations evident of improved quality of PE learning and teaching.

Identified coaches and planned provision to arrange after School Clubs: Ballet for both primary and secondary; Keep Fit for Secondary only.
However, participation at school clubs continues to be challenging due to transport issues. / Registers
(26 students attended the clubs).
More Smiley Faces! / Offer more sporting opportunities for after school clubs / Liaise with local secondary schools to
identify young Ambassadors to help deliver after school clubs.
Improve swimming opportunities for all abilities.
There is no central record of progress towards pupils swimming 25m / Work with Brian to introduce and monitor
Introduce distance badges including float supported distance badges.
CPD to train and support MTA play leaders. Ongoing.
Train and support pupil play leaders. Ongoing.
Correlate contact information for local clubs, look at existing databases and use SEND PE network group. Collate sports clubs that our pupils attend all ready.

The Beacons Wheel Chair Dancing Club, Days input. / SEND Database - work in progress and growing! / Playtimes are not as interesting or as activity rich as they should be to enable students to access quality activities.
Improve links with Community Clubs. / Training, equipment, staff coverage of playtimes.
Trial a lunch time club

Competitive School Sport

Arranged inter competition outside of school:
Students participated in the Devon SEND swimming Gala; DWAG: Table Cricket, Indoor Rowing, Aqua Splash; Ten Tors: SEND Cricket Competition at Bovey Tracy
Arranged intra competition within school:
Sainsbury’s School Games Day:Frisbee Target Fest! All students were invited to take part. All students participated in School Sports Week in the summer. / Lesson Plans

Secondary students invited to attend clubs, competitions in capacity of leader, coach or referee. Ongoing.
Invitation accepted to attend ‘Step into Sport’ Conferencewhere students focused on delivering, understanding and promoting inclusive sports. These boys then went on to help organise and deliver a Target Festival for the whole school. / 3 students attended
