Local dance instructors take part in

nationally recognized dance workshop

City, State, Date – Faculty members from Suzy’s Dance Studio in Rockford have just returned from the 2014 Summer Dance Workshops, a nationally recognized annual event where dance professionals hone their teaching technique, educational theory and personal dance development. Sponsored by the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters (CNADM), the workshops took place July 14-21and featured [Teacher Training School]: four days of intensive classes focused on teaching tap, jazz and ballet to children.

Suzy Smith, Sarah Jones and Brad Pitt were among the faculty members from Suzy’s Dance Studio who traveled to Schaumburg, IL, for the workshop. The three instructors are members of CNADM, which means they have passed a rigorous membership exam and adhere to the association’s strict standards and code of ethics.

“I’ve returned from the CNADM Dance Workshops feeling re-energized and so excited to bring cutting edge choreography back with me to CITY!” said Sarah Jones, who has taught at Suzy’s Studio for five years. “I especially learned a lot from [Jeremy Plummer];

he really knows how to relate to the teachers and shared an innovative routine that will challenge my students.” Plummer, a choreographer and teacher in the Chicagoland area, was one of 14 highly sought-after CNADM faculty members who instructed the teachers at the 2014 Summer Workshops. Additional renowned dancers who traveled to the CNADM Workshops from all parts of the country included Tom Alexander, Melissa Anderson, Reagan Marie Leonard, Tom Ralabate, Nick Pupillo, and more.
