Share, explore, teach, and evaluate with digital learning environments developed from I Can Statements, Common Core, collaborations, and project based learning. Some examples used with project based learning: electronic subscription databases for K-12, Noodle Tools for grades 5–12, Turnitin for grades 9-12, LibGuides for grades 9-12. / Continue to share, explore, teach, and evaluate with digital learning environments developed from I Can Statements, Common Core, collaborations, and project based learning.
Collaborate with K-12 teachers on project based learning with the 4 C’s (Collaborate, Communicate, Critical Thinking, and Creativity), providing the library resources, co-teaching the integration of technology environments and literacy skills, and providing students with opportunities to practice 21st century skills.
Continue to update the completed “I Can Statements” and the grade level “introduce, develop & maintain, master” skills of the new ND Library and Technology Content Standards K-12, approved July 2013. Develop “I Can Statements” in more detail and arrange “I Can Statements” by strand/cluster vs. by grades, looking at the strand/cluster across the grade bands for better scaffolding. / Continue to align the ND Library and Technology Content Standards with the Common Core.
Increase student and staff access to library eBooks and digital learning environments, and collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists on teaching with digital learning environments.
Use the Titlewise Collection Analysis to meet curriculum goals and goals of nonfiction for the Common Core Standards, by purchasing the best resources for the school library collections and by continuing to move resources to other school library collections.
