Leadership Development Outcomes for the 2010-2011 School Year:

  1. Leadership Supporting Effective Teaching: Principals will gain proficiencies in human capital management and the teacher performance assessment system by learning the domains of effective teaching for a diverse student population; using student performance data, observation data and other human capital management data to make strategic performance management decisions, and providing feedback and coaching to teachers in their buildings.
  2. Leadership Supporting English Language Learners: Principals will implement effective research-based ELA programming, with a focus on ensuring access to prepared teachers, effective teaching, appropriate scheduling, monitoring of disaggregated data and outcomes to accelerate student achievement.
  3. Leadership for School Improvement and Successful Professional Development: Principals will regularly use data to create, implement and monitor a School Improvement Plan that includes a high quality site-based professional development plan, focused explicitly on the needs of English Language Learners and students with disabilities and an ECE-12th grade approach to college/career readiness.
