CCM Performance Enhancementfor Comverse (8 Months):

Description:CCM controls the configuration of all connected SMSC components comprising of search and compare, upload and update tags. The project is aimed at performance enhancement of these features.

  • Assigned charge of low level design and coding; improvement in functionality of the tools through fixation of critical defects by adding new functionalities as part of enhancement requests.
  • Technology used – Core Java on Eclipse platform.

CCM Master OMAP for Comverse (6 Months) :

Description:Aproject involved in the addition of a logical hierarchy to the existing hierarchy of SMSC components which involves modifications in almost all the features of CCM.

  • Assigned charge of low level design and coding; improvement in functionality of the tools through fixation of critical defects.
  • Technology used – Core Java on Eclipse platform.

Development of Billing Feature for Comverse (3 Months):

Description:A product dealing with processing of a very large set of billing files performing operations like validation and consolidation.

Tiger Compiler for MIPS Processor:

Description:A project aimed at building a compiler capable of generation of MIPS Codes for a small language called TIGER comprising of integer and string variables, arrays, records and nested functions, the syntax resembling some functional languages.

  • Technology used – C and LINUX.

Implementation of File Transfer Protocol over UDP :

Description:A product with a typical client server model. The client attempts file transfer by asking the server for a specific file on the TCP control port. The server handles this request and goes back waiting for the next connection. The forked thread checks for the file and attempts file transfer to the client on a known UDP port. Reordering and re-transmission mechanisms were also implemented as UDP does not guarantee reliable delivery.

  • Technology used – C, Socket Programming and LINUX.

Scada Sim:-

Description: This is a simulator for the SCADA systems which are used in power systems and other industrial processes. SCADA stands for Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition. We developed a SCADA system to monitor the power generation and transmission. This was displayed in R&D showcase 2005 and was presented in a workshop on power systems. It was used to train the participants on SCADA systems.

Constrained based Sensor Coverage with collision avoidance:

Description:This project involves Constraint based Sensor Coverage, i.e. sweeping across an area within the least possible time while keeping a sensor in contact with k other sensors, and Collision Avoidance, i.e. moving across an area without colliding with obstacles, were two different problems and had to be implemented together.

  • Technology used – C++, Open GL and LINUX.
