Job Title:Architectural Technician

Reporting to:R&D Manager

Location:This role will be based at Kilwaughter, Co.Antrim

Hours of work: Mon-Thurs 8.30am - 5.00pm. Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm

Purpose:As our Architectural Technician,you will work closely with our technical team to provide architects and building professionals with design detailing for all types of K Rend render projects.

Responsibilities:

Technical –

  • Provide technical drawings and design detail information and specification to our Krend clients and internal technical team.
  • Produceaccurate and detailed construction drawings on AutoCAD in a timely manner.
  • Create technical data sheets and installation guides for the product portfolio.
  • Provide drawings for projects both in new builds and the retrofit markets.
  • Attend site visits to provide technical advice as required.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks ensuring projects are delivered on time and have the correct drawing information.
  • Liaise with BBA to gain approvals for newand enhancedproducts.

Customer Service -

  • Work with and support customers, providing technical data if required.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • KeepKilwaughter management and other relevant parties’ updated on existing projects and advise any relevant changes to building regulations.
  • Ensure good relations and communications will all members of the team and provide excellent customer care in an efficient manner.
  • Work closely with building professionals to provide an excellent level of service.

Job Title:Architectural Technician

Criteria / Essential / Desirable
Qualifications/Attainments /
  • Third level qualification or equivalent in Architecture or related discipline.

Relevant Experience /
  • 3+ years’ recent experience working in a similar role.
  • Experience of creating project drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of U.K. building regulations.
  • Experience of dealing with prospective and existing customers.

  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience of BIM.
  • Experience in providing technical data and support to customers.

Skills and Competencies /
  • Possess strong software skills including AutoCAD and Microsoft office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Effective organisation and planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Circumstance /
  • Valid driving licence.
