PART TIME WELCOME CENTER REPRESENTITIVE

Under the direction of the Membership Director, the preferred candidate will have the ability to enter information into a computer system, be friendly, and love to work with people. The preferred candidate willbe responsible for selling memberships, giving tours of the facility, resolving issues for members, answering phones, and other duties as assigned. Shifts available include Monday through Thursday 1:45-5:45pm, every other Friday 1:45-7pm, every other Saturday 12-4pm and every other Sunday from 1:30-7pm. Applicant does not need to be able to work every shift open, looking to hire more than one applicant. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, and prior relevant experience preferred.

SALARY: $7.35 per hour

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Social Services will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the social service departments housed in the Homewood-Brushton YMCA. The service delivery includes drug and alcohol treatment, violence, prevention, truancy prevention, career development, and social service referrals. Services are provided in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh.

Required core competency skill:

Resource Developer – Tell the YMCA story in a compelling way that influences others to donate both time and resources to support the YMCA mission and strategy. Staff must be able to articulate how the YMCA is a charitable organization.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Master Preferred/ Bachelors required

Five years experience in related field

Minimum three years of management/supervisory experience

SALARY: $36,000 to $45,000

Under the supervision of the District Vice President, the Executive Director will be responsible for the growth and development of the Homewood-Brushton YMCA. The Branch Executive has primary responsibility for the development and administration of the branch operational plan and delivering on all budgeted goals.

The Homewood-Brushton YMCA is a unique$2.3M urban family center with a strong emphasis on a blend of social services to the community and traditional membership operations. The current social service delivery model includes drug and alcohol treatment, violence prevention, truancy prevention, career development, and other misc. social service referrals.

The successful candidate must show a track record of developing gainful community partnerships, sound financial management skills, creative and innovative programming, and strong team-building skills.

Onsite Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Onsite Coordinator will lend support to an onsite afterschool program, to lead and supervise teen programs. The program site is located in Lincoln PlacePittsburgh. Candidate will be responsible for managing those functions in accordance with the stated mission, goals and policies established by the Grant funder.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - This position is part-time and requires three to five years of youth leadership experience especially working with children in urban setting. The candidate must have a strong ability to be an engaging presence in leading programs and staff. The position requires strong organizational and planning skills. He/she must have outstanding communication skills, the ability to determine and set priorities; manage his/her work schedule effectively as well as the capacity to handle multiple tasks appropriately in a fast paced work environment. He/she must possess a high level of initiative, professionalism, and a positive attitude and enjoy working in and creating a strong team environment. Experience in leading an after school program is strongly desired. A high level of enthusiasm is required. Current First Aid and CPR certifications will be required within the first ninety days of employment. This position requires an understanding of and a commitment to the total effort of the YMCA. Employee must be able to articulate the YMCA charitable organization.

SALARY: $10-$12 per hour
