Principal Endorsement

  • The school Principal must endorse all nominations.
  • Each school may nominate up to three candidates for an award per industry (Training Package) area. It is the responsibility of the Principal to ensure this requirement is met when considering whether to endorse nominations.
  • There is no limit on how many candidates can be nominated from a school, training organisation or by an individual,so long as the school does not exceed a maximum of three nominations per industry area.

[1] The VET national qualification code is the code that appears on The VET qualification code must be the code of the qualification that the candidate is being nominated for. If the candidate has partially or fully completed more than one VET qualification,please use the code of the qualification that they are being nominated for. The nomination is to be based on ONE qualification only. If the candidate has completed other VET qualifications, particularly if those qualifications are in the same industry area, please note that in the application.

[2] The VET national qualification title is the title that appears on The VET qualification title must be the title of the qualification that the candidate is being nominated for. If the candidate has partially or fully completed more than one VET qualification,please use the title of the qualification that they are being nominated for. The nomination is to be based on ONE qualification only. If the candidate has completed other VET qualifications, particularly if those qualifications are in the same industry area, please note that in the application.

[3] A learner may have undertaken their VET program in a previous year, but must be currently enrolled with a senior secondary education provider.

[4] An award recipient will only receive an award if they meet the requirements of, and achieve, the Tasmanian Certificate of Education by 21 December 2015.

[5]A candidate would be deemed to havedemonstrated outstanding achievement in VET as part of their TCE, if they had achieved a VET qualification at AQF level 1 or above. This may, for example, be demonstrated by the candidate having achieved 20 credit points towards the TCE from completion of one or more nationally recognised VET qualifications at AQF level 1 or above in the their chosen industry area; or that the nominee’s combined program of VET and complementary TASC accredited courses shows their commitment to entering their chosen industry area.
