INTERSTATE GANG INVOLVED IN SUPPLY OF ILLEGAL WEAPONS BUSTED.

ACCUSED FROM MAINPURI (UP) ARRESTED WITH 5 WEAPONS.

3 SEMI-AUTOMATIC SOPHISTICATED PISTOLS OF 7.65 MM AND 2 COUNTRYMADE PISTOLS OF 12 BORE RECOVERED.

INTRODUCTION:-

Crime Branch has succeeded in unearthing a gang involved in supply of illicit sophisticated weapons in Delhi and NCR. One supplier involved in this illicit trade has been arrested and3 pistols of 7.65 mm and 2 country made Pistols of 12 bore have been recovered from his possession. The recovered weapons were manufactured with high proficiency skills and one can hardly detect the imitation.

INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION:-

Information was received that a gang based in Mainpuri, UP is indulged in the supply of illegal arms and ammunition in Delhi and NCR. Possibility of these illegal weapons being used by the gangsters/criminals of Delhi and NCR in committing crimes in Delhi and nearby areas could not be ruled out. The information was developed and to apprehend these criminals and unearth the whole nexus,a dedicated team comprising of HC Rishikeshand CtSurender Kumar were put on the task to collect the details about these criminals. A careful study regarding the “Modus Operandi” of this gang was carried out and local sources were deployed in Delhi, NCR, and Uttar Pradesh to collect the leads about this gang. In the year 2013 and 2014, the Crime Branch and Special Cell sleuths had made a major breakthrough and seized huge consignment of illicit weapons including pistols, sophisticated weapons of different bore.There was every possibility that these illegal weapons might be used by the gangsters/criminals of Delhi and NCR while committing sensational and dastardly violent crimes in Delhi and nearby areas.

On 06.04.2014, a specific input was received that anarmssupplier would be going via Outer Ring road, Bhalaswa Dairy X-ing in a white Mahindra Bolero SUV to deliver aconsignment of illicit arms to one of his contacts. Accordingly, a team of Northern Range led by Inspr Arvind Kumar and comprising of SIs Gurmeet, Braham Dev, HCs Rishikesh Ramesh, Abrar, Hanuman, Abhey, Cts Rambir, Ashok, Virender, Surender, Anoop and Ajay was constituted under the close supervision of ACP Sanjeev Kumar Tomar and overall guidance of DCP Kumar Gyanesh and a trap was laid and one person, driving the Bolero SUVwas apprehended who was later identify as Gautam@ Dhollu (24 Years) s/o Bhan Pratap Singh r/o Village Ram Nagar Gariya, PS Ghever, District Mainpuri, UP.During search of the vehicle, initially there was nothing suspicious but the inner panel of its back door was abnormal and on removing the same, 3 sophisticated semi-automatic pistols of 7.65 mm and 2 country made pistols of 12 bore were recovered from the cavity of the back door of the Bolero SUV. A case vide FIR No.37/14 u/s 25/29 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch has been registered in this regard and further investigations is underway.

INTERROGATION:-

On sustained interrogation, it was revealed that the accused Gautam alongwithone Devendra r/o Mainpuri, UP isinvolved in supplying illegal weapons in Delhi NCR as well as in the Bhind and Morena districts of Madhya Pradesh. On 18.3.14, he and Devendra were arrested in District Bhind, MP alongwith illicit arms. He further disclosed that the recovered illicit arms were meant for supply to one Sonu r/o Alipur, Delhi. His associate Devendra was arranging the weapons from his contacts.

PROFILE:-

Gautam @ Dhollu (24 Years)s/o Bhan Pratap Singh r/o Village Ram Nagar Gariya, PS Ghever, District Mainpuri, UP has studied upto 8thstandard from Mainpuri and his fatheris a farmer. His father purchased a Bolero SUV on installments one year back and Gautam started plyingit as a local taxi. Devendra had hired his Bolero for some social function and when they became familiar, Devendra told Gautam that he is indulged in supply of arms but is facing difficulty in transportation due to non availability of vehicle and asked him to join and offered a lucrative amount per trip. He agreed out of greed and he alongwith Devendra transported consignments of armsin his Bolero at various places in MP and UP. On 18.3.14, they were apprehended by the police in Distt Bhind (MP) while travelling in the same Bolero and remained in jail for one week. After getting released on bail, Devendra asked him to supply the consignment of arms to one Sonu of Alipur. He had hidden the arms in the back door cavity under the panel to get away in police checking but was caught with the consignment.

Police is on the trail of other accomplices and more recoveries and arrests may take place during further investigation.

TWO NOTORIOUS ROBBERS/AUTOLIFTERS ARRESTED.

5 STOLEN MOTORCYCLES RECOVERED.

3 CASES OF MV THEFT WORKED OUT.

INTRODUCTION:-

With the arrest of two robbers/autolifters namely Abid (25 years) s/o Md. Iqbal r/o Akhade Wala 30 Foota Road, Ashok Vihar, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP and Toseem @ Chottu (23 years) s/o Nasruddin r/o Village Mandola, PS Loni, Ghaziabad, UP, Crime Branch has worked out three cases of MV theft and recovered 5 motorcycles.

INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION:-

In order to curb the incidents of auto-thefts in Delhi, Central Range of Crime Branch was directed to deploy sources to get clue about the robbers/autolifters active in Delhi and to nab them. A dedicated team comprising of Inspr Padam Singh, HCs Ajay Kumar, Rakesh, Azad, Krishan, Cts Manjeet and Rupesh under the close supervision of ACP Om Prakash Singh and overall guidance of DCP Bhisham Singh was constituted. The teams collected details of various jail/bail released criminals and kept close watch on the movements of previously involved and suspects.

On 06.04.2014, a credible information was received by HC Ajay Kumar that two criminals Abid and Toseem @ Chottu, who are previously involved in several cases of robberies/MV thefts, would come near Hanuman Mandir, Yamuna Bazar to dispose off the stolen bikes. On this information, a trap was laid by the team at Hanuman Mandir, Yamuna Bazar under Yamuna Bazar flyover. At the instance of the informer, the above said accused were apprehended and one Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle bearing registration number DL4SAN 6558 was recovered from their possession. On verification, the recovered bike was found stolen from PS Rajouri Garden area. Accused persons have been arrested u/s 41(1) CrPC in the case.

INTERROGATION AND PROFILE:-

AccusedMd. Abid s/o Iqbal was born in 1989 at Loni, Ghaziabad (UP). He fell into a bad company and became habitual of consuming liquor. Due to bad habits of drinking and gambling, he got burdened under debt. About 2 months ago, he came in contact with Taushib, Irfan and other associates who were petty thieves. They committed various robberies and thefts to earn quick money. Earlier, he was arrested in case FIR No.288/06 u/s 457/380/411 IPC, PS Nand Nagri, Delhi in which they had committed a night house burglary in Nand Nagri. After getting released from the jail, he alongwith other associates planned to rob a truck loaded with LPG gas cylinders. On the intervening night of 27/28.07.2012, they had taken lift in a truck containing LPG cylinders in Loni and then over-powered the truck driver on the point of pistol. They tied the driver and threw him at a place near Khekhara, District Baghpat in a pit and ran away with the robbed truck containing 306 LPG cylinders. In this regard, a case vide FIR No.1220/12 dated 28.07.12 u/s 394/34 IPC, PS Loni, District Ghaziabad (UP) was found registered.

Since they could not find any receiver for the booty in UP, hence they decided to hide the truck in the area of Sahibabad and sell it to some receiver in Delhi. They parked the truck in the area of Sahibabad and their other associates remained present there. Both the above accused persons came to Delhi to explore the possibilities to get good value of stolen property but during their negotiations, they were caught from the area of MahenderaPark, Delhi and arrested. On their instance, the looted truck containing 306 LPG cylinders were recovered from the area of PS Sahibabad, District Ghaziabad, UP. After getting released from the jail, they again got indulged in motorcycle thefts. Total five stolen motorcycles which were stolen from the area of PSs Rajouri Garden, Jafrabad and Prashant Vihar have been recovered from them. Two motorcycles are yet to be connected with the crime.

MODUS OPERANDI

They would unlock the bikes parked on roadside by using an old motorcycle key. They used to park the stolen motorcycles in some other roadside parking and target next ones, while scouting for buyer/receiver in meantime.

THREE ACTIVE ROBBERS ARRESTED

The staff of PS Janakpuri has arrested three robbers namely, (1). Karan Kumar @ Krishna @ Kiran (2). Abhishek @ Amitabh and (3). Deepak Kumar @ Deepu during night patrolling while they were trying to flee after committing robbery at the point of knife. Robbed property i.e. mobile phone purse and a sum of Rs. 900/- cash have also been recovered.

NAME & PROFILES OF THE ACCUSED

1.Karan Kumar @ Krishna @ Kiran s/o Sh. Bhagat Bahadur r/o RZ-B/4, Sitapuri Part-II, New Delhi was born in 1992 in Delhi. He studied upto 8thclass. Thereafter, he left his studies and started working as helper in office of property dealer. He fell into bad company and started taking alcohol and other narcotics substances. He could not fulfill his expenses from his earning, then he formed a group with his other two associates Deepak and Abhishek, procured a shaving knife from one Govind, known to him and met him at Kali Mandir, Sagarpur. At the point of knife, they robbed one person at C4E Bus Stand on the intervening night of 6/7.04.14 at about 1 AM.

2.Deepak Kumar @ Deepu s/o sh. Prem Chand Mehto r/o RZ-G/54, Sitapuri Part-I, New Delhi was born in 1994 in Delhi. He studied upto 7thclass. Thereafter, he left his studies and started working as helper with a contractor taking contract of electricity fitting. He fell into bad company and started taking alcohol and other narcotics substances. He could not fulfill his expenses from his earning and joined a group with his other two associates Karan Kumar and Abhishek. At the point of knife they robbed one person at C4E, Janakpuri Bus stand on the intervening night of 6/7.04.14 at about 1 AM.

3.Abhishek @ Amitabh s/o Sh. Sant Lal r/o RZ-20, Sitapuri Part-II, New Delhi was born in 1994 in Delhi. He studied upto 10thclass. Thereafter, he left his studies and started working as helper with a contractor contract of Plaster of Paris. He fell into bad company and started taking alcohol and other narcotics substances. At the point of knife, they robbed one person at C4E, Janakpuri Bus stand on the intervening night of 6/7.04.14 at about 1 AM.

CASE WORKED OUT

1. FIR No. 389/14 dated 07.04.14 U/s 392/397/34 IPC, Ps Janak Puri.

INCIDENT AND OPERATION

On the intervening night of 6/7.04.14 at about 1 AM Sh. Rakesh Singh R/o Janakpuri, New Delhi reported to SI Ajit, who was on night patrolling duty from police station Janakpuri that three persons had robbed his mobile phone and cash at the point of knife at C4E, Janakpuri bus stand and fled towards C4E, Janakpuri market. SI Ajit without wasting time shared the input with SHO/Janakpuri and ACP/Vikaspuri, who in turn instructed him to launch the search operation. Thus a team comprising SI Ajit Singh, ASI Ramesh Singh, ASI/Driver Ramesh Singh, HC Mastram No. 1627/W, Ct. Ajit No. 1723/W, Ct. Rajbir No. 1083/W and Ct. Manish 8795/DHG was constituted under the supervision of SHO/ Janakpuri and Inspector Investigation/Janakpuri alongwith complainant and started search operation due to strenuous efforts and on pointing of the complainant, they succeeded in arresting three person namely Karan Kumar, Deepak Kumar and Abhishek near C5A, Vidya Marg, Janakpuri, New Delhi. On conducting their search, the robbed items i.e. mobile phone and cash have been recovered from the possession of accused persons.

TWO CRIMINALS ARRESTED AND ILLICIT LIQUOR SEIZED

The Staff of Police Station Khyala, West District has done an excellent work by arresting two persons namely Vijeta and Rajan (BCs of PS Khyala) and recovered more than 61 liters of illicit liquor and one scooter from their possession.

NAME & PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON

  1. Vijeta aged about 30 years, JJ Colony, Khyala, New Delhi. She is illiterate but BC of police station Khyala. She is previously involved in 26 cases under Excise Act.
  2. Rajan aged about 26 years, Raghubir Nagar, Delhi. He is active criminal of the area of PS Khyala and involved in 11 criminal cases including case of robbery and snatching.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

In view of forthcoming Lok Sabha Election – 2014, watch is being kept on the activities of all known bootleggers and criminals. On 07.04.2014, in this regard, special attention was kept as Monday is the last day, when liquor is being sold at government liquor shop before election. Two teams were constituted under the supervision of Insp. Tanvir Ashraf, SHO/Khyala and over all supervision of Shri Eish Singhal, IPS, ACP/Rajouri Garden.

Secret information was received through Ct Rakesh, No. 1844/W that one woman namely Vijeta, who is active bootlegger of the area, will procure huge amount of liquor at her house. On receipt of said information, a team consisting of HC HC Rajender No. 550/W, Ct Rakesh No. 1844/W, WCt Radhika No. 1826/W was constituted. At about 07:45 A.M., raid was conducted at her house and she was apprehended with 05 cartons of illicit liquor. The said liquor was made only for the sale in Arunachal Pradesh. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 268/14 dated 05.04.2014 u/s 33/38 Delhi Excise Act was registered in Police Station Khyala.

In other incident, information was also received through Ct Ravi Kumar, No. 3294/W that a desperate criminal namely Rajan, is also involved in transportation and storage of illicit liquor. The said information was developed and it came to notice that Rajan will come towards Ghorewala Mandir with illicit liquor on scooter. On receipt of the said information, another team consisting of HC Satyavir Singh No. 1681/W, Ct Ravi No. 3294/W, Ct Raj Kumar, No. 3338/W was constituted. The team started checking of vehicles at Ghorewala Mandir by putting barricades. During this course, at about 10:20 A.M., they stopped one scooter No. DL-8SU-3909, on which two cartons of liquor were being transported. On suspicion, the police officials asked Rajan, who was driving the said scooter, to show the cartons. On checking, 24 halves of country made liquor were found in each carton. Accordingly, another case vide FIR No. 269/14 dated 07.04.2014 u/s 33 Delhi Excise Act was registered at PS Khyala. Both accused persons have been arrested and investigation of the case is in progress.

The staff of Police Station Paschim Vihar, West District has arrested a Proclaimed offender namely Kamal Singh S/O Balbir Singh R/o H. No. 981 Gali No. 13, Mandoli Extn., Nand Nagari, Delhi age 45 yrs.

1.CC No. 1817/ 14 dt. 18-1-14 U/S 138 NI Act P.S. Binda Pur Delhi, declared P.O. by the court of Sh. Vikram, MM, Dwarka, Delhi on 7-3-14.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

A Secret information was received by PO Staff of Police Station Paschim Vihar that a Proclaimed Offender namely Kamal Singh, who was declared P.O. in C.C. No. 1817/14 dt. 18-1-14 U/s 138 NI Act P.S. Binda Pur Delhi, by the court of Sh. Vikram, MM, Dwarka, Delhi on 7-3-14 is present at his home. Immediately, on the basis of information a team comprising SI Joginder ASI Satbir ASI Rajesh & HC Rajender under the close supervision of SHO P.S. Paschim Vihar Sh. Arvind Kumar was constituted. A raid was conducted on the house of P. O. Kamal Singh and he was arrested near his house.
