CourseDescription:

Thisclassisanintroduction/beginnerlevelTapDanceclass.Thiscourseiscomposedprimarilyofmovement(performanceasopposedtolecture)andwillincludemovementprojects,theory,observation,learningandperformance ofdance(s).Somedancehistoryandanatomyfordancerswillbetaught.Studentsarerequiredtotraveltoandattendliveprofessionaldanceperformancesandtoperform.

CourseStructure:

Thisclasswillconsistofwarm-up,centerfloorworkandtravelingthroughspace;learningshortdances;observingdance;learningvocabularyandterminology;writtenreactionstodancevideosand/orliveprofessionaldanceperformances(andifpossiblemasterclasses);movementevaluationsandexaminations.(Inreferencetowriting,seeStudentHandbookorUniversityCatalogaboutcheatingandplagiarism.)
