Condense main topics of “dry media” and “wet media” to the category of “materials.” Clarify “compositional studies” as “composition as expression” thereby adding a note of complexity to the subject matter. Included the category of “articulation.” Add the main topic of “self-expression.” Redefined the course’s detailed outline of main topics to included contemporary approaches to the subject matter. Change textbooks and optional reference reading to a more modern source. Condense and clarify detailed course outline’s main topics to reflect more accurately the current catalog description.
Rationale for Change: / Redefined Drawing 3’s course outline to reflect a more sagacious method to the subject matter that will allow for the student to rely more on critical thinking skills, decision making, and articulation.
The current course outline was written in 1976. The proposed course outline updates the curriculum.
