Location: Smallwood Livery Centre is situated 1 mile off the A534 approx 4 miles from Sandbach and 3 miles from Congleton. If accessing from Junction 17 of the M6 head east on the A534 towards Congleton. Go straight over traffic lights where A534 crosses A50. Approx 1 mile after lights take right turn signposted Smallwood & Brookhouse Green (also PC sign). Keep on this lane for approx 1 mile and look out for box park signs.

ALL CLASSES ARE OPEN TO PONY CLUB AND RIDING CLUB MEMBERS OF ANY AGE & WILL BE SPLIT ACCORDINGLY.

CLASS 1(P.C Level 2)

Height of fences: approx – 80cms (XC & SJ)

CLASS 2(P.C Level 3) The John Chute Memorial Class

Height of fences: approx – 90cms (XC & SJ)

CLASS 3Open, (P.C Level 4) INCLUDING THE AREA 5 ROSEBOWL (TEAMS OF 4, 3 SCORES TO COUNT)

Height of fences: approx 1 metre (XC & SJ)

This event is run under 2015 Pony Club Eventing Rules. All Riding Club members and must have

3rd party liability insurance cover. Body protectors & medical armbands must be worn during XC phase.

Dressage Tests: Class 1 - Novice Eventing Test 2013

Class 2 – The Pony Club Intermediate Eventing Test 2015

Class 3 – The Pony Club Open Eventing Test 2010

NB. In accordance with Pony Club rules, the XC course in all classes will be timed.ALL dressage tests to be ridden from memory.This is NOT classed as a Beginner’s event.

For a copy of the Dressage Test please send SAE marked “Dressage Test” to Liz Sutton, Yew Tree Farm, Bexton Lane, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 9BH, clearly stating which test you require.

Entry Fee for all ODE classes: £50.00. (£35 CHNPC members).XC only (for PC Area 5 Tetrathlon) £30.

ALL PRIZEGIVINGS WILL BE UNMOUNTED AT THE SECRETARY’S MARQUEE.

RIDERS MUST BE DRESSED APPROPRIATELY IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THEIR PRIZE (PC & RC).

Prizes only awarded if the rider is present at the prizegiving.

The organisers reserve the right to amend awards presented.

We are open to suggestions after the Event.

Conditions of entry.

1.This competition will be run in accordance with Pony Club Eventing rules 2015.

2.No practice over any part of the course is allowed at any time for 2 weeks prior. Any rider in breach of this rule will not be allowed to compete at the event, and any entry fees will be forfeited.

3.All PC entries must be signed by the District Commissioner

4.All PC members’ hats must be tagged.

5. All Horses / Ponies to be at least 5 years old

6.The Chief Stewards decision is final.

7.Body protectors and medical arm bands must be worn for the cross country

8.PCCompetitors wishing to wear spurs must carry a note of permission from their DC, unless rider has passed the B test Riding section.

9.No entry fee will be refunded after the closing date for entries.Prior to the closing date, refund given if place is filled, minus administration fee.

10. If Air vests are worn, they MUST be over a normal body protector. In the case of a fall, they must fully deflate or be removed before continuing. If an Exo BodyCage is worn, the secretaryMUST be informed and a key left to be given to the medical team.

11. Only horses or ponies competing at the event may be ridden.

12. The cross country course will be open for inspection from 2.00pm Saturday 2nd May 2015.

13. CANCELLATION –In event of cancellation, all entries will be automatically forwarded to the new re-arranged date for the competition. The safety of riders and horses is of paramount importance to us. However, it is onlyunder extreme conditions that the event will be cancelled. If the event is cancelled £20 (max) from each entry fee will be retained tocover costs incurred.
