Course Description
This course includes exponential and logarithmic functions, matrices, polynomial functions of higher degree, conic sections, and normal distributions. Prerequisites: Integrated Geometry

ELECTRONICS
All electronics will be turned off and put away once in the classroom. This includes everything except calculators.
DAILY WORK
Daily Work is essential to success in math. All math teachers assign Daily Work as a means for their students to practice and review important skills that are taught in class. Students are expected to complete these assignments on a daily basis. At their discretion, individual teachers may use a variety of means to assess Daily Work. Some of these assessment methods may include (but are not limited to): Daily Work quizzes, notebook checks, and collecting assignments to be graded for accuracy.
CALCULATORS
All students will be using a calculator in math. It is the responsibility of the student to bring his/her calculator to class on a daily basis. However, mental math is also an important skill that we emphasize. Therefore, there will be times when students will not be allowed to use a calculator. Teachers will make students aware of these times.
Note: It is not acceptable for students to use their cell phone as a calculator during class time. Please refer to the policies posted in the classrooms and in the CHHS Handbook regarding electronics in class.
LATE WORK
It is math department policy that no late work will be accepted, unless the work is late because of an excused absence. Individual teachers may have their own policies regarding make-up work.
